Apparently, the former East is the place to be if you're looking for cheap destinations! I am a bit surprised to find Berlin so high up among cheap cities. I thought prices there were about the same.

No M, yes in the East the prices are still lower. I didn't know Berlin was so cheap either... As for housing, unfortunately we haven't managed to sell our current apartment yet (harder than we thought), so we haven't even started looking at new ones yet...
