At regular intervals, you can read news reports that motorhome sales are rising or that interest in camping is increasing. And it seems to be continuing! Now SVT Smålandsnytt reports on the camping trend, which they believe will continue. Among other things, motorhomes are becoming more common at campsites! Here you can see some camping facts from SCR and from the article.

Emmy in Australia says:
We camped a lot, mostly with a caravan, when I was younger. Have seen almost all of southern and central Sweden that way. Swore as a teenager to never camp again, and then I went to Australia as a 28 year old and camped as much as I could. Funny that how it changes! 🙂

Hello!
I have relatives who camp all year round, instead of a summer cottage they have a giant caravan, which they celebrate both Christmas and New Year and the weekends in. Kärradal I think it is set up in Varberg.
Not really our thing, then a motorhome sounds more like us and maybe in the future we go around down in Europe to different cosy places with just a motorhome, so big that the MC also fits ;).
Have a good day/ Hugs

Emmy in Australia, you don't always like going on holiday with your parents... Maybe later you can look at it in a different way!
😉
Annelie-Singapore, yes, many people use a caravan like that, and it is certainly perfect if that is what you are looking for! But we don't want a summer cottage, so we don't want a parked caravan either. But a motorhome that you can easily move from place to place, that's our thing!
🙂

Wow, I thought there were a LOT more motorhomes!
But I myself have moved more and more towards hotel camping.

Woops, where do the motorhome people spend the night, you might ask?

Ama de casa, I thought there might be more... but there are still far more caravans than motorhomes. Motorhomes are also parked in places other than campsites: car parks, regular car parks, mobile homes in the countryside...
Lena & Jan, obviously not on campsites... But if you listen to discussions in motorhome forums, it seems that many people actually avoid camping. Pitches, car parks, free camping in nature ...
