Spoiler on the motorhome roof

We have purchased and fitted a spoiler to the roof of our motorhome. We think there is a lot of noise from the two front roof hatches, and the purpose of the spoiler is to reduce wind noise. Now we have both spray-painted the spoiler to give it the colour we want and mounted it on the motorhome roof. Now we will see if it will be good!

Spray paint the spoiler

There were of course only white spoilers available, so Peter had to start by spray painting it black. Other people might spray paint things in their garage or something, but we live in an apartment and have no garage, so what do you do? Well, we spray painted the living room ...

It looks a bit crazy now when I see it in the picture, but it went well. We laid out underlay paper on the floor and taped it down, and no it's not black on the floor or the walls now... But the spoiler is black!

Now it's almost black!

Attaching a spoiler to the motorhome roof

Once the spoiler was completely black and dry, it was time to get it up on the motorhome roof. Peter attached it in front of the roof hatches using silicone and pop rivets. Now it remains to be seen if it helps against the wind and noise! In the top picture you can see the spoiler in place in front of the roof hatch on our enormously dirty campervan roof (it's supposed to be black ...). It's not so easy to see perhaps, but it's there in front. The photo is taken from the rear roof hatch.

Soon time to roll with the motorhome

Now it's almost time to hit the road with the motorhome! It will probably be a motorhome weekend very soon, although we have not yet decided where it is going. Wonderful! So far, we offer a picture from last year's motorhome trip at this time, when we visited Västerås Mälarcamping, among other things.
