There are many questions about car holidays: what do others recommend? Which sights are worth seeing? According to a new survey commissioned by TT-Line, a large proportion of Swedes choose to look for travel information on internet travel forums.
How Swedes search for information before a car holiday
A total of 35 per cent of Swedes turn to social media to get information about their travel destination and 21 per cent choose to share it with others through, for example, Facebook or their own blog. This is according to a survey conducted by Netigate on behalf of TT-Line.
- On various travel forums on the Internet (35 %)
- In travel guides/books/other printed travel material (22 %)
- By friends who have been there before (16 %)
I'm almost surprised that more people don't use social media to search for travel information. I look for a lot of travel tips on blogs, but also on sites such as Travel Guide and Tripadvisor. Where do you look for information for an upcoming holiday?
BP says:
I also use the Travel Guide and Tripadvisor. I also listen to tips from friends and colleagues.

Brochures are a good complement when you don't have access to the internet.

Tobbe, absolutely true! When you don't have access to the Internet, it's great to have good old-fashioned things on paper!

The internet is a very good source for most of the information you are looking for, so also when it comes to travelling. We have booked hotels, apartments, flights and rental cars entirely on the basis of the information we have found. And it has worked very well. 3 M

Seniors Speculate, I agree! It's almost difficult to understand how people managed to survive before the Internet...
