We have now got a place at Sonja's campsite in Löttorp. Since we did not book a place in advance, we had to queue, but luckily we got a place. And this campsite feels really good! We have had time to install ourselves and enjoy the lovely summer.
Get a place at Sonja's campsite in Löttorp
Öland is popular in the summer, so when we wanted to move from Löttorp campsite we knew there could be a problem. We called Böda Sand directly in the morning, but of course it was impossible to get a place there. Then we called Sonja's campsite, which is also in Löttorp, where we had to queue. After a few hours they called back and offered us a place!
Sonjas camping in Löttorp is a pleasant campsite located right by the sea. There are several service houses, a few simple eateries, mini-lives, a few small pools and a mini-golf course. Feel free to read along on the campsite's website.
Lazy days on Öland
Now that we have found a campsite that feels nice here on Öland, we can finally start to allow ourselves to come down a bit. We woke up in peace and quiet this morning and haven't felt any urges since. So what do you do all day at a campsite on Öland? Well, here you can at least see what we have been doing ...
We started the morning with a good breakfast outside the motorhome - our new favourite is vanilla yoghurt with fresh berries. Then we hung out on the beach, ate ice cream and read books. The weather right now is fantastic!
Minigolf at Sonja's campsite
In the evening we played a round of mini-golf. We were all very competitive and Peter ended up winning. Perhaps the rest of us will get our revenge tomorrow ...

Now, you can start your holiday for real... And compared to where we are, the beach looks sparse with people.
Greetings Spain!

Criss-cross, it seems good here, so we'll probably like it! At least for a few days, we'll take it as it comes.
Matts, I understand that you recognise yourself! It was only 600 metres to roll here ...
😉
Ditte, yes, I can understand that it is sparse in comparison. I know what it can be like when there are a lot of people ...

I almost went to Böda a few weeks ago to celebrate the 50th birthday of a colleague who had rented a cottage. The colleague was completely crazy after the TV programme and did not talk about anything else when it was shown. Unfortunately, I didn't get it together with the holiday days (strangely enough), but they had had a fantastic time. The colleague got to see 5th Avenue and sit in the chair with her with all the tea lights.

Öland is beautiful, we once cycled from the caravan park in Böda harbour to the Böda Sand campsite. I can imagine that children and young people have fun there. Lucky that you got a place with Sonja in any case.

Ladies Abroad, we haven't even seen the programme... but thought it would be nice to have a campsite where it might happen a bit more. Not least now that we have the young people with us... But it was so popular that we didn't even get a seat!
Anders and Birgitta, yes, this certainly feels like a nice and pleasant campsite, even if there may be a lot of families with small children.
