Now it feels like we got some order in the houseboat! In time we will change and get some new furniture. We will also rebuild! But we have at least unpacked all the boxes and got some order in our stuff. Do you want to see what it looks like?
Table of contents
The kitchen
The kitchen is really cosy, with a gas stove and a dishwasher. The cabinets are much smaller than we had in the apartment, but we've managed to fit most things in anyway. We bought the dining table on Blocket two days ago, and the colour matches the rest of the kitchen perfectly!
Lower deck
The room on the lower deck is big! We still thought it would be difficult to get the beds in through the door, but it was fine! (We brought them in through the door you see at the top left.) In the old engine room is our crawl-in closet. It holds more than you think and we have all our clothes (except for some shoes).
Upper deck
On the upper deck we currently have an inflatable guest bed. Later we will buy other furniture for this room.
On deck
There are tables and chairs on the deck, and a great view of course!

It's great to get a glimpse of the inside. And a boat, just like a motorhome, can hold a lot, but you have to find smart solutions. And you are very good at that.
Now enjoy the fact that most things are in place. And it's summer!
Archipelago greetings!

Now I have read the latest posts and I really think I would enjoy living in a houseboat. So delicious to swim from your own dock 😉 What a great thing you have done. Good luck with it!

Nope, a little jealous. Undeniably more spacious than in our ship 🙂 Hugs, Linda

But the question is whether we have a slightly higher ceiling just above the bed. Difficult if someone should decide to sit up in the bed ... /Linda

How fast and efficient you are. Even though it was 28 degrees here today! How incredibly nice you have got it.
The only thing I can think of is that I would immediately change my bed space. The one with the inflatable bed looks much less dangerous than your own bed. I wouldn't want to hit my head on the "ceiling". Yes, you might be lying with your heads the other way round, which I certainly hope. Risk of concussion here or there rather;-)

Ditte, yes, you have to find smart solutions! We've come up with some good things already, and I'm sure we'll come up with more.
Veiken, thank you! It feels great! We went swimming again today, great!
Linda, yes it is quite spacious. The ceiling over the bed is not as bad as it might look. I can sit up. The roof slopes upwards so it's higher at the head end.
BP, I understand your point from the pictures! But the upstairs is uninsulated (too hot now, too cold later). In addition, it swings more upstairs. It's also not as low over the bed as it looks. The ceiling slopes upwards over the head end and I can sit up.

Oh, how wonderful! 🙂 Nice to finally get started with the houseboat accommodation! Looks very cosy!
A little jealous of your cleansing though. Have walked around here at home and thought about how much I could throw away and what I really want to keep... Now live on 250 sqm and it's really burdensome what you collect... Will devote the autumn to cleaning because of you now! 😀 Haha... What you inspire, both at home and on the road Thank you! <3

Annalena, what fun if we can inspire! It's really easy to accumulate stuff, and it's nice to declutter. Good luck to you!
Frankie & Co, we did some clearing... but ok, there are a lot of clothes left...
