What do we do on a sunny Saturday? Well, we are building a wardrobe. As you may remember, we have a "crawl-in closet" in the houseboat, that is, a large wardrobe where you can't stand straight. It's a bit hard on the back to stand crooked all the time when choosing clothes and getting dressed.
Walk-in closet
We will build a walk-in closet in the room outside, where we will keep our regular clothes. There will be a pole for hangers and a wall with drawers. We have simply bought oak discs and large baskets from Jysk. Then we will install two wardrobes as well.
"Crawl-in closet"
In the crawl-in closet, that is, our boiler room, we will store things that we don't need as often: backpacks, ski clothes, extra blankets ... well, you get the idea. We work and work. And we drink some wine, and we listen to Ulf Lundell and let the sea air flow in through the open windows. And then we feel how fantastic this is!

Sounds like a good solution with a wardrobe where you don't have to rush in to get the clothes you need for everyday life. Nice that you are so handy and experienced on the construction front. It makes it easier! And it's great to relax on deck between laps. Isn't boating pleasant?

Seriously girl - send Peter over when you are ready! There is so much to do here - and it is only 15 km away;-)
And I promise that I will also offer wine and food, but he will have to do without the sea breeze;-)
Oh yes, there is something to what my husband usually says: after a few glasses of wine it clears up much faster... but he doesn't measure that way, of course.
Warm summer greetings from two with their thumbs in the middle - yes, you understand;-)

Ditte, boating is fantastic! And if Peter hadn't been a carpenter, I don't even know if we would have dared to invest in something like this...
BP, hehe, well there are always things to do! Wine can make creativity flourish, but maybe you shouldn't make too advanced calculations....
😉
Ama de casa, soooo nervous about it now... no wine near my computer!

hello
Ended up on your site by chance when I googled tapout xt...
Thought I'd tell you about geocaching. A fun and interesting way to see parts of the world you would never have found otherwise. You who travel so much would certainly enjoy it.

We have to move on.

I realised that this would be something to "bite" for you. You are too good at what you do and you also get the "thumbs up" and get things done. Boating will surely be very comfortable for you and one day you can sit back on deck and enjoy your work. Have fun with the remodelling. Hugs 3 M

Janne, thanks for the tip! We have heard about others who really like geocaching. Right now we have a bit too much going on. We'll check it out in the future!
🙂
Seniors Speculating, this houseboat thing is a bit of a challenge. But it also feels like a new beginning. Now it's a bit of fun to do things again!
