We worked a marathon yesterday evening and night to get all the old stuff out of the boiler room before the plumber and electrician would come, which meant that we were without water and sewage yesterday. This morning the electrician and plumber came to our houseboat.
Electricians and plumbers
The electrician established what was wrong with the heating system and fixed some of what he was supposed to do. He will come back on Monday and fix the rest. The plumber brought with him a new modern pumping station, which pumps out the waste water automatically. He installed and tested ... and what do you think happened?
The water sprayed
The plastic pipe to the pump burst and water was spilled sprayed into the boat, over the plumber and the entire boiler room. Peter scrubbed and then they tested again. With the same dramatic results! Just scrubbing again, then.
The plumber could not understand what was wrong. But then it turned out that there was a blockage in the pipes from the marina. So it wasn't just us who had a blockage, but all the residents on the whole jetty! So now we are without water and sewage again, until Pampas has fixed the pipes. But we have a new modern pumping station! And we will probably go out for dinner tonight ...

No, but what bad luck. Luckily they found the error anyway. It will probably work out in the end. Thanks for your answer about the spoiler. We may have to put one up too...we'll see. Good luck with your continued work:)

And who said it should be easy? But a thought; maybe the Pampas could have foreseen that something was wrong. Or they didn't know. But...everyone had similar problems. Hard to talk about possibilities here... Dinner out will be good. Now it can only get better!

I understand that you are not eating at home tonight! I would be very careful about drinking - just in case you need to pee during the night.
As I said, I remember the change of residence here with us. Almost every day that we were at home (we fled the country for four weeks) and did not have our own toilet, we had to pee or poop at the strangest of times... Strange....

No breaks and no rest! And you can't rest in shape either. But perhaps the Pampas Marina should have known better...
I understand that you are eating out tonight. Wishing you a pleasant evening.

Sometimes chance arranges a bad luck that is so maximum that you cannot believe it is true. It should not be possible for this to happen at the same time; for you to have craftsmen at the same time as there is a fault on the whole bridge.
Now it can only get better, so have a nice weekend, eat well outside instead!

Deciree, it will be fine! Just a little messy in the meantime
😉
Ditte, no who said it should be easy? Yes, maybe Pampas could have enlightened... but I think the error occurred quite suddenly.
BP, there's a toilet in the marina, but you don't want to have to go there in the middle of the night... At least the water and sewage works again!
Inga M, yes it felt like an unlikely coincidence... but reality usually surpasses the poem as I said...
Lennart, can only agree!
