The washing machine salesman wondered how we would fit the machine in the car. In the car! That was the least of the problems, so to speak ... We had calculated that the washing machine would fit in the boiler room, but hadn't really thought about how to get it there.
For narrow doors
Sure, it would go in through the main entrance, but then it would still stop. The passage from the kitchen to the lower deck is very narrow. That left only the door in the bow of the boat. It was 58 cm, and the washing machine was 60 cm.
Ok, if we sawed down the door frames then. (And now we are talking about the original door from 1932, nothing from IKEA). Then there was the matter of removing the ladder, because it was rickety and we're going to rebuild anyway. Well, everything goes if you want. Picture proof!

Talk about being the world's best and most resourceful problem solver. Brilliant. But excuse me - now you have a big hole in the bow. Will it be duct tape that will keep the door in place for a while or;-)?

BP, Peter glued and shot (pin gun) back the frames...

Mum's machete, there is a laundry room in the marina. But it is a long way to go, and it will be more complicated this winter. So most people have their own washing machine anyway, and only use the one in the marina to wash sheets or something else bulky,

Jooruu ... we had to do the same thing, saw off a piece of the door frame, (built together with the wall,) to get the new washing machine into the bathroom. Think it was missing 2 cm there too!
