Västerbottens-Kuriren reports that 55% of Swedish women dream of travelling more in their spare time than they do today. Women in Stockholm are the most interested in travelling. Women without children want to travel more than those with children.
Singles are the most resourceful
Singles are also more eager to travel than those in relationships. The survey was conducted among women aged 25-45 across the country on behalf of Viking Line.
Other habits on holiday
According to an article in Göteborgsposten, 84% of Swedes change their lifestyle habits on holiday. We spend more, drink more and leave healthy eating habits at home. Is it any wonder that we sometimes long for that luxurious holiday life? But if you travel more often, you might have to tighten up those habits ... haha.
BP says:
Quite a logical result I think - I mean how much fun is it to travel with small children for example.
Of course you change your food and drink habits on holiday. Half of the pleasure of a holiday is not having to cook, go to a restaurant and have a wine with the food... also;-).

Certainly true, think of us constantly "managing our free time" THAT is the real adventure!

BP, I agree that the results are logical and not very surprising. "When you're on holiday, you want to relax. But if you're travelling for several months, you might have to think more about your habits....

Lena & Jan, wonderful!

For example, "How much fun is it to travel with small children?"

Since this has been in the Västerbotten Courier, I am surprised that there are not more than 55% who want to travel more 😉.
Joking aside, both surveys are probably quite accurate.

Across the country, but apparently it's the Stockholmers who want to travel the most...
