After an 11-hour (uncomfortable) flight, we arrived in Xiamen, located on the coast of south-east China. The airport is really in the centre of the city. We almost licked the rooftops on approach, where people were hanging laundry, or whatever they were doing.
Xiamen in China
Xiamen is a Chinese city on the coast of Fujian province in south-eastern China. The city is about 19 miles southwest of the provincial capital Fuzhou.
Walk near the airport
We have gone for a walk in the area near the airport. It feels like almost 20 plus degrees outside, but the Chinese probably think it's cold because they have taken out their jackets and furry vests. The airport is decorated for Christmas and we have had a really good Chinese lunch. Soon the journey can continue towards Philippines! You can keep up, can't you?

Exciting with that approach. They are probably used to living there ... but poor people anyway. Hope you have a good time where you are. We wish you a Merry Christmas. Hugs

It's good that you got a leg stretch in Xiamen, a rather small city, according to Chinese standards, with only about 1.5 million inhabitants.
We travelled by train there and back, so of course I don't remember an airport.
Nice to have a good lunch!
Sad that the flight was uncomfortable, but not much you can do about it once you're in your seat.
I hope that the last part of the journey will be better. At least it is much shorter.
And soon the Philippines to follow!
