My winter boots are completely worn out, and I really need new ones. But how difficult it is to buy shoes and boots in Sweden! Everything looks exactly look the same. Now I've been round almost every shoe chain in the country (I think), and what do I find? Black straight unlined boots that everyone sees. identical out. Firstly, what's wrong with adding some lining? Secondly, why is it so scary to have a tiny bit of design... like a strap somewhere? A fur trim?
Easier to buy shoes abroad
I'm beginning to understand why I've bought almost all my winter shoes in Ukraine... Not only are their shoes and boots more imaginative, but they are almost always lined. Today we searched all the shoe shops in Täby centre. Tomorrow we are thinking of going into the city centre. Does anyone have suggestions for fun little shoe shops where you can find things that are not available in the usual chains?
Thankfully, I know that shopping for shoes in Ukraine! I bought all the shoes in the pictures below in Kiev. The two pairs with fur are not only fluffy on the outside, but are also nicely lined inside. The purple ones are really cool, aren't they? This time I'm not looking for high-heeled boots, but it would still be nice to have a strap or a fur trim or some other detail ...

I don't know what your style is, I like the store Knulp but they don't really have the Ukrainian style of shoes... Check their website... I'm more of the "rough boots" style like Duckfeet... Although they can work well on a houseboat 🙂 .

My absolute favourite shoe store I found in the 90s in Copenhagen, a detour 30 metres from Ströget. It was called Royal Mini and apparently it's still there ( http://www.royalmini.dk/). Have written about it on the blog before(/http://stevereflekterar.blogspot.se/2013/02/maltider-ar-hogtidsstunder.html). Unfortunately, I can no longer travel there. Nowadays I only wear slippers from New Zealand.
It's just as well that these days there is also something good about Ukraine.

Errmmmhhh! So you have been in "my" centre today. Well, there you won't find anything other than what you didn't find if you say so;-) Rizzo on the upper floor and Jarméus have a little better stuff, but obviously not in your taste.
Suggest that you take a boat trip to Riga. Because there they have exactly such shoes as you show in the picture.
PS. How the f*ck can you wear such shoes in winter?????? DS.

Hmmm... It's not really my piece on those shoes, so to speak... Certainly nice on someone else, but not on me and the biggest problem is that I can't walk in them! It should be a bit more flat if you say so...at least in winter time!!!

Active Days, thanks for the tips! I probably have different styles depending on the occasion. Right now I'm looking for low-heeled everyday boots, but that can be worn with a skirt...
Junior, I love shopping for shoes in Ukraine! Unfortunately, that country has a lot of problems right now ...
Steve, too bad it feels a bit too far to Copenhagen then... Well, the news reporting from Ukraine right now is not fun... I hope it ultimately leads to positive changes!
BP, Riga I can imagine has more shoes like that! The ones with light coloured fur are excellent to walk in. The black ones are "taxi shoes", so I only wear them if I'm not going to walk much... Yes, we wanted to try a "new" centre and Täby is big! We were in the shop you mention. They have quality shoes, but still not much imagination...
Marina, right now I'm looking for low-heeled everyday boots. But I think it's fun to wear heels sometimes!

Awesome shoes, super cool!
I myself have difficulty finding high boots. I understand that my calves are too big 🙁.

Camilla, the boot handle thing is tricky... I've heard the same problem from several others.

Might be worth looking at this link?

For those of us with thicker calves, I recommend Scorett and the brand D for Dashia, where there are some boots with different widths ranging from S to XXL for the calves.
