I've been enjoying looking through our travel photos, which of course brings back a lot of memories. It has also resulted in a new series here on the blog, which we call "10 x". We'll start with 10 x interesting buildings that we've come across during our travels.

1. Fisherman's Bastion in Budapest
With a fantastic view of the Budapest rises the building with the 7 towers, representing the original seven tribes of the Hungarians.
2. La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona
Gaudi's masterful church in Barcelona feels both antique and futuristic. Construction began in 1882 and is still ongoing.
3. the Harpa concert hall in Reykjavik.
The economic crisis made the completion of this sightseeing in Reykjavik uncertain, but the government sponsored and the inaugural concert was held in May 2011.
4th St John's Cathedral in Valletta, Malta
This marvellous baroque-style church, which can be found in Valletta in Malta, was built by the Maltese Knights in the 1570s.
5. amphitheatre in Verona, Italy
The amphitheatre in Verona, one of the largest in Europe, was built in the first century AD.
6. Krzywy Domek in Sopot, Poland
This irregularly shaped building houses a shopping centre and is located in the centre of town. Sopot. The house was inspired by the storybook illustrator Jan Marcin Szancer and was completed in 2004.
7. Hallgrimskirkja in Reykjavik
The mighty church in Reykjavik can be seen all over the city. Construction began in 1948 and was completed in 1986.
8. Petrona Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur is the seventh tallest skyscraper in the world with 88 floors. At the bottom is a shopping centre.
9: Casa Batlló in Barcelona
In the imaginative house in Barcelona even the chimneys are special. Gaudi designed the house, now on public display, for the Batlló family in the early 20th century.
10. Il Duomo in Milan
The great cathedral in Milan is magnificent and there is supposed to be a great view from the roof terrace. But a flowing cardigan wasn't enough to get in - the skirt had to be low-cut too.

So this new series is totally in my favour!!!! Love architecture and different buildings so I will probably drool!!!!
Oh so much more to see and travel to - Barcelona goes straight in as a favourite I must say!

BP, Barcelona is highly recommended... especially if you like architecture! There will be a bit of a mix in this series, not just buildings... but hopefully some travel inspiration!
