When it rains heavily (like today) it rains into the houseboat. It runs along one wall of the boiler room and continues down into the hull. There is a submersible pump that pumps the water out. But it is of course not good that it gets wet inside the boat ...
Tried to seal ...
We've tried sealing everywhere from the outside, but we just don't understand where the water is coming from. When we take the boat up in the spring, we will change the panelling, so it will probably all work out then. In the meantime, we are trying to stay dry ...
BP says:
Can't help but laugh here. Well, not about the rain, but about the framing of the submersible pump - hundreds of shoes. Hahaha:-)
PS. Could it be condensation? DS.

BP, haha, yes there are some shoes there... No, it's far too much water to be condensation, and it comes when it rains.

This is often the case in boats, the water comes in, but you rarely know where it goes. But you will probably find out this spring ...
Also smiled at all the shoes that were in place. Perhaps they also collect some water...

Hope you've got or will get over this soon! Moving things around in a regular home is easier than when the spaces are small.

Water in the wrong place is always bad. We have a similar problem in the old house. There the water seems to come via the chimney (!) Will be checked in the summer as well.

How sad when you can't find the cause, because then it's hard to fix. Elisabeth

Mr Nils-Åke Hansson says:
Could be condensation water on the inside of the (steel) hull.
Good with bilge pump! Do you have a moisture guard?

Henny, it's sad that you have a similar problem...
Elisabeth, yes we have tried to follow the water, but you can't see the whole way...
Nils-Åke, it only comes when it rains and we see how it runs along a wall... Pump is good! What is moisture guard?
