Package holidays with different themes have become more and more popular. I have a colleague who usually goes on cycling and hiking holidays. A couple of friends are going on a training trip this summer, and we just got an email from British friends who are on a golfing holiday in Dubai. Golf holidays in sunny countries are becoming more and more popular.
Golf in beautiful surroundings
We don't golf ourselves (Peter says he would be hooked if he started ... haha), but we have several friends who like to hang out on the golf course. Golfing in Sweden is certainly nice, but maybe even more nice to combine golfing with a few weeks of sunshine?
Golf holidays to the sun
A company that offers this type of travel is Sunbirdie. They offer both weekly holidays and long stays, i.e. trips lasting around a month. The packages include both a hotel and golf in a country with a more pleasant climate, so you can alternate golfing with hanging out on the beach.
You can choose anything from Portugal and Spain to more exotic locations such as Thailand and South Africa. What about you, would you consider a golf or other themed holiday? And which country would you choose?
This post is co-written with Sunbirdie.

I started playing golf in the late 70s, but stopped after 5 years. Just not my thing, but I still enjoy watching golf.

I dare to refuse to play golf, so never! But Dubai does not sound wrong, without golf clubs;-)

A good idea! Absolutely! And maybe especially if you're not much of a traveller or travelling unaccompanied.
For my part, I organise the trip myself and if I want to hang out on golf or other activities on site, it can always be arranged. In any case, it has worked well so far. But one never excludes the other ...
