Today we have changed the three small windows facing the lake, on the lower deck. It was a bit more tricky, as it is quite narrow ... But we were lucky too. Firstly, we had shelter, as the wind was blowing from the other side. And the windows were the right size this time, so we didn't have to saw.
Windows of different sizes
"They should have measured that before," you're thinking. And yes, of course we measured the windows. But the old windows (which were not whole pre-purchased windows, but window glass attached to the frames) had approximately the same size. The new windows of course have exactly the same size.
So some windows have been a perfect fit, while others have not. like that. You could say that the fact that everything is slanted and windy and has different sizes is quite symptomatic of this boat... At least three more windows are now in place!

Here at home, a new entrance door was installed. Windows are something we talk about a lot.
Looks a bit risky to mount on the sea side but with good help it can be done.
Nice weekend Nisse

It's lucky that Peter knows about construction. He seems to know everything. When he has finished with you, you can send him here, and I promise that the windows are straight... I think;-)

Nils-Åke, great with a new door! It is on our to-do list too.
Really, every thing feels like a step along the way!
Ditte, that's it. Everything is hopeless to order. Everything from toilet seats to the front door has strange dimensions... haha.
BP, haha, yes he can do everything, that's good. Unfortunately, he works around the clock ...
😉
Britt, how nice that you follow us there too!

Nicely done! I can understand that it's a bit crooked and wintry - it can't be easy to fix such things when it's windy 😉.

Nice to follow your project. we are sketching our project but it is stable on land since the late 1700s. It certainly feels good now with new windows. Have a good time!
