Now I have painted the first piece with the new colour! The houseboat will be light grey (a shade called sea mist) and all the linings will be white. While I was painting the lining and walls, Peter demolished the old deck and continued to sand and paint the deck.
Chaos on the bridge
On the bridge it has been total chaos, and since we didn't have a terrace, we also set up the outdoor furniture there for lunch. Fortunately, we live at the end of the bridge ...
Close to falling overboard
By the way, I almost drowned today. It happens when you get too cocky and think you have everything under control. I had notI promise. I swung myself (a little too) quickly over all the building material on deck to get over to the outside of the boat and got the very a lot of speed. At the last second I managed to save myself by grabbing an edge with my foot and then I looked around nervously - did anyone see???
The weather has been lovely, but I'd like to wait a bit to go swimming... How have you spent this sunny and beautiful day?
BP says:
Such a nice colour - now your boat will not look like a chicken among all the "whales";-) On the other hand, it will be much harder to distinguish the stretcher from the neighbours';-)
When we were sitting at the marina yesterday, chugging beer, we saw a guy cleaning his boat. He must have been pedantic, because he was also about to fall into the 5-degree water. So you're not alone...

Looks great! Laughing heartily that the opening of the bathing season was close... I myself ended the ski season by travelling home in coveralls in 20 degree heat. That's what happens when you pack poorly...

Sea fog. It couldn't be more right. And pretty, too.
It's been a gardening weekend all round.

Wow, how good you are, you get tired just reading about your project 🙂 Could it be because of your age, Norrbottenskärring 75 wonders.

BP, haha, yes, Easter is over! And it feels good that it's not just me who zero balance on the boat ...
😉
ActiveDays, it's hard to be properly dressed this time of year. Right now it feels like summer, but apparently it's going to get cold again...?
Steve, yeah we kind of fell for the name...
😉
Henny, we also get pretty tired sometimes... haha. It will probably be our last such giant project ...

Great colour and a very appropriate name for it. How nice it will be!
Yes, dropping in would have been cold...But you have lifeguards nearby....I'm glad you avoided the first dip of the year just yesterday.

How beautiful it will be! That's quite a job you have ahead of you. I can imagine that it is good to be handy when you live on a boat, right? We tinker with small things on the house all the time, but the big things we rent out.

Ditte, I'd rather wait a bit with the first dip of the year...
😉
Marie, of course it's good to be handy! If you buy a newly built aqua villa, it is probably fine anyway, but if you buy an old ship from 1930, it may be good not to have your thumb in the middle of your hand... We have also brought in craftsmen on a few occasions (electricians and plumbers), but it is good not to have to do it all the time. Understand that there are things to fix on a house all the time too!
