You didn't think it could get any worse, did you? But it could... Peter always drives carefully and is careful with his licence. He has never been caught speeding or anything like that - until today! He was stopped on a 30 km stretch, not outside a school or anything like that, but outside a noise barrier for a construction site. He was slowing down from 70 and was travelling at 56 km/hour.
Without a driving licence for two months
Do you know what happens then? You lose your driving licence for two months! Sooo practical when you need your car for work every day. Not to mention all the construction materials we need to pick up, and all the construction waste we need to haul away... But this is life! Let's look on the bright side - things will soon turn around!

Lasse Permelin says:
It seems that the police are on the case, I was stopped the other day and given a clean bill of health during a sobriety check. Over ten years since I was stopped by the police. I have driven too fast a few times because I have not braked fast enough. Apparently, you have to get your act together so as not to risk anything.

Oh what bad luck you have had for a while now, I really think it should have been enough a long time ago!
Keep your fingers crossed that things will turn around and that you will get everything sorted out.

BP says:
Shit, shit, shit! I feel so incredibly sorry for Peter and you too for that matter. So much bad luck at once - it is completely unlikely. Let's say it can't get any worse, ok?
I hope Peter has work friends who can give him a lift. On weekends, you can drive. Two months goes by quickly...
I think you both deserve a big hug of strength.

Matts Torebring says:
Today I would say that I am doing everything I can to maintain my speed. However, it is enough to shift up to a higher gear and they are there. For many years, I had insurance against the possible loss of my driving licence. I never had to use it. Now it is too late for Peter to think about it.

How sad! Maybe the saying "that an accident rarely comes alone" is true. have not really taken it to heart before, but will probably do it now.
Thoughts of strength to you!

How cruel life can seem. But, as you say, this is how life is sometimes.
However, a positive attitude and a bit of gumption always pays off in the long run, so I'm sure things will turn around soon.

Deciree says:
No, no, no, no! But what a pity it is for you right now. The police are zealous when it comes to 30, we know that. Kjell did the same thing a few years ago. He came up a hill and all of a sudden it was 30 where he was driving. He swerves ... but too late. A fine of SEK 2,500. One wonders if they need money for the lunch box sometimes. Especially if you have never had a remark before. Hope it works out for you and for him at work. You have to think: Good thing he didn't lose his driving licence forever... He'll get it back soon.

THANK YOU for all the kind and encouraging comments!
Lasse Permelin, yes they seem to be on the ball. Here they had positioned themselves in a place where many people miss that it is 30 and do not have time to brake in time. There were many who went there at the same time ...
BP, please! Unfortunately, I don't have a driving licence...
Matts Torebring, I didn't even know there was such an insurance policy? Peter is also used to being in and around himself to keep the speed, but this time it was wrong anyway...
Ditte, I have just learnt that in English they say that accidents come in threes. Maybe we should limit it in Swedish as well, because enough is enough...
Deciree, yes, it is true that they are zealous at 30. In addition to taking the driving licence, we were fined 3600 SEK (if I remember the amount correctly).

Two months... not a long time, but too long when you depend on your car.
Now your bad luck must be over - it can't go on like this...
