Summer is here and it's time to go camping! If you have a motorhome, you can of course choose pitches or free camping, but sometimes it can be nice to visit a traditional campsite. Many campsites are located close to nature with nice swimming pools. Here are ten fine campsites in Sweden that are suitable for summer holidays, presented from north to south in our elongated country. Do you have a favourite campsite that you would like to recommend?

Thanks for the nice list! Many campsites also have cottages for rent, which could be relevant for us. And maybe, who knows, we'll rent a motorhome on occasion. We have visited many places physically, but not campsites.
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy Whitsun Eve. Maybe you will get a little break....

Anna in Qatar, haha, we haven't been to any campsite in Skåne... so it was difficult to write about anyone then... But I'm also a Scanian from the beginning... lived my first 14 years there (Lund).
😉
Ditte, there are often cabins on campsites, both in Sweden and Europe. So it works to travel by regular car too! And thanks for the same. We are mostly working right now, we will tell you soon!

GOD what beautiful campsites there are!!! Understand that you at Freedom visited lots of them!
I used to camp a lot on Gotland, we loved Sudersands Camping!!!
But the best thing was probably to pitch your tent on desert beaches...
Oh how I can miss it.
I've never camped in the US, although I think the campsites are often very nice (I don't know if that's the case, I should add) - I've probably seen a few too many horror films, haha.
If I were to camp here I would prefer to do it in an RV!!!

Annika, many campsites are very beautiful, and often by the sea or lakes! Tents can be cosy if the weather is good, but... motorhomes are more comfortable... and much better when it rains!
