Yesterday, two new Aquavillas arrived at the Pampas Marina. The most delicate moment is when the floating villas get off the barge and into the water. Therefore, everything is done slowly. This is exciting!
New neighbours on the way
The aqua villas are manufactured in Västervik and then shipped here on a barge, which apparently took two days. Yesterday they were lowered into the water from the barge, and then it was time to tow them into the marina. The docks were full of neighbours watching and photographing.
Larger aquavillas
These two new ones are bigger than the old ones. The living space in each is 175 square metres and they weigh almost 300 tonnes each.

It's an exciting neighbourhood you live in.

Talk about luxury villas! 300 tonnes, 175 square metres, not bad. The only thing I think is that it's a wooden villa, so it will need a lot of maintenance, as it's in the water.
Yes, I always think about the practicalities, lazy as I am. See how much mess and mess you have had with a much smaller boat. I think your boat is much more cosy!

Seems like a luxury place where you live on the water !!!
Nice in summer of course, worse in winter!
Take care.......

How exciting to see. What a weight, 300 tonnes. I'm glad we were able to launch them safely.
Glad you got to the painting now and that you got help!

Exciting to see them when they are in place. Lots of things that will work. I still think your houseboat and some others are much more charming than these Aquavillas. But maybe they are practical....Something positive must be there. And of course the location....But otherwise? Well, for me...

BP, a villa always requires maintenance and yes, wind and water can be stressful. But if you can afford to buy an aqua villa, you can probably afford to pay someone to repaint, I guess...
Rolle and Carina, the location is luxurious! Even in winter, we actually think. It is beautiful here then. But the houses themselves have very different standards - everything from old and simple boats to pure luxury villas...
Lots of other things and some concrete, yes they are huge. Our boat weighs around 20 tonnes, as a comparison...
Ditte, we also think it's more charming on a boat. The advantages of an aquavilla may be convenience, but there is also a completely different guarantee on such a...

Wow, 175 square metres! That's quite a size! Didn't think bo-boats could be that big. Guess there is a size limit at the marina.

No M, the municipality has rules that the marina must follow. But it's a subsidiary of the marina that produces and sells the aqua villas, so they probably want to go big and expensive themselves...
