Today I visited Scandic To Go - the hotel room that can be placed exactly where you want it. The hotel room is 18 square metres and has a double bed, sofa bed, bathroom, TV, wifi and an electric kettle. In other words, everything you want in a hotel room. But the special thing is that you chooses the location.
Anywhere in Sweden, Finland or Norway
You can book Scandic To Go anywhere in Sweden, Finland or Norway. Breakfast is included and the price is 2500 SEK/night. If you choose a place where electricity and water can be connected, the conditions are best, but if you want to stay in the middle of the wilderness, there is a generator and a water tank with 500 litres of water. Right now you can compete to win an overnight stay in Scandic To Go anywhere in Sweden.

2,500 bucks for 18 square metres - no, that's too much, even though breakfast is included;-)

A little innovation is never wrong. The exterior is a bit dull though.
Good to be able to try living in the area I'm thinking of moving to.
Can the right of public access be invoked for accommodation in this container?

Ditte, I still thought it was a pretty decent price considering they drive the hotel anywhere in Sweden/Finland/Norway... and then come and serve breakfast on site...
Johanna, it's a fun idea actually! (And Hagaparken is only a 15-minute walk from my work.)
BP, as I told Ditte, I thought the price was pretty good considering that the hotel has to be transported by lorry, that they have to apply for a permit to set it up, and then also have service on site....
😉
Steve, they have to apply for a licence to set it up in each relevant municipality. So you have to book it at least a few weeks in advance, so that they have time.

What an idea, fun! The price isn't so fun though, but maybe worth it if it's something special.

Fun idea! But we usually find hotels that are already in place.

Very cheap if everything is included such as breakfast and authorisation for placement.
