At the weekend, eldest son Robin was here to help Peter lay the heated floor and parquet. Then Peter's brother Dennis came and helped with the stove and chimney. The previous owner bought the stove, but we have had to buy the chimney, and there are of course a lot of rules to follow when it goes in in terms of distance, materials in the walls and so on.
Laying heated floors
In the top picture, you can see Robin and Peter laying a heated floor: pipes laid down in ready-made Styrofoam grooves. You can hardly see the parquet because it is covered with protective cardboard, but it is dark brown (walnut). So things are moving forward here! Even if we wake up every morning in pain everywhere ...

It's progressing as fast as you can see! Good that you get help from the family too, then it goes a little faster. To feel new muscles can come in handy then; -)

A lot has happened! And it's nice to have some outside help. It will be really nice.
Nice in winter with the heated floor and fireplace. And you know it's properly moulded...

BP, a little help is not wrong...! A little more muscle would be great, but sometimes it feels more like wear and tear...?
;(
Ditte, yes, doing it yourself feels like the only way to be sure of how it will be done...
