Last night - the first night in almost ten weeks that we didn't put on our work clothes and go out to work. Instead, we met up with a friend of a friend and visited the Frog Sea restaurant. Located just 300 metres from the Pampas marina, the restaurant extends out into the water, gently rocking on the waves.
On a swinging bridge
We, our newfound friend and her three dogs took a seat on the outdoor terrace, equipped with jackets and blankets. "Can you please move to a table on the other side? We're on the wrong side..."
Grodhavet is one of those casual places where nothing is perfect and the crockery is odd. But it is perfect for a relaxed evening with some good food and conversation over a beer or a glass of wine. For us, it was grilled salmon and potato salad - delicious and with a home-cooked feel.
Grill night on Fridays
The restaurant usually has a barbecue night on Fridays: tuna, ribs and beef fillet with accessories such as asparagus, mozzarella and small potatoes. It's of course extra nice here in the summer, but the restaurant is actually open all year round (not all days and times though). We can definitely recommend a visit here!
Talking about motorhomes and travelling
What about our new friend? Well, it's a mutual friend who brought us together because she recently got a motorhome and plans to travel in Europe with the motorhome and her dogs this winter. So there was a lot of motorhome and travel talk, of course. Very nice and inspiring!

A nice break from doing any practical boat work one evening. Cosy to sit down by the water and eat and drink well . It's exciting that your friend has got a motorhome and is going to take the dogs around Europe. And you have a lot of experience. Yes, blankets are not needed here..late last night it was +26 here. Nice, but the days are hot and humid. You can't have everything...

We have so far only walked past the Frog Sea, but I think the place is worth a visit.
Nice to be able to share your experiences... even if you don't have three dogs;-)

It's good to hear that you take breaks from working on the boat sometimes. Otherwise it has been a lot now. I shudder when I read about the possibility of sitting in a rocking restaurant. I wouldn't be able to do that. But I assume that you do not have a problem with rocking so it was of course a nice evening. Nice weekend!

Ditte, motorhomes have many advantages. Hard to travel around with three dogs any other way...
BP, I think the Frog Sea is cosy!
No M, so it swings very gently... just so you can sense it sometimes.
