When you have a sewerage problem, you need help fast. We know, because we have a lot of experience ... unfortunately. Last autumn, we had recurring problems with our sewage pump in the houseboat, sometimes resulting in days without water and sewage. The worst thing is not having no water, but having no place to empty the sewage ... When it was at its worst, we had to live in the motorhome for a few days.
The sewage pump is in a bad mood
This time it's not quite as bad. The sewage pump hasn't stopped, but for some reason it's still on. bad mood. It does not pump out the waste water by itself, but you have to do it manually by pressing a button.
The waste water tank only holds 30 litres, so it gets full quite quickly. In order to take a shower, another person must simultaneously stand over the pump in the boiler room and periodically press the button ... not very practical!
When you need help
Since we live in a houseboat, we have a special plumber who knows about houseboats. And right now he happens to be sick ... Hopefully others, who do not live in a houseboat, can get help faster!
Pipeline service, with whom we are writing this post, is an example of a company that offers emergency assistance around the clock. It doesn't sound too bad, because when you need help with plumbing and sewage, you often need help right away!

A well-functioning sewerage system is required where you live!
But I'm sure it will work out, hopefully!
Take care......

What a pain in the arse! We were without both water and electricity for three days after the ravages of Hurricane Odile. Then we "escaped" north a bit. Fortunately, there was a pool where we could get water to flush the toilet. Pools are good for many things (but not for swimming after that storm. It was "deliciously" brown...).

Rolle and Carina, it will work out! But it is really one of the most important things that it works!!!
Ama de casa, that hurricane was no joke! When you get rid of things that you usually take for granted, you realise how much you need it!

It is probably best that you write a manual for those who will rent the houseboat during your long holiday;-)
