In co-operation with Junkbusters
One of the papers we have just submitted to the municipality is about how we have dealt with all the demolition material. Seriously, I wonder how many barrel waste we spent during the construction of the houseboat? We filled the car again and again and again and never thought we would run out ...
Recycling centre
We drove the garbage to the Bromma recycling centre, where we sorted wood, metal, plastic and everything else that could be. When Peter lost his driving licence for a month, it became a crisis to say the least! (No, I don't have a driving licence and yes, it is impractical ...)
Get help with waste removal
Fortunately, Peter's son Robin helped us. The other option, which we discussed, would have been to hire a company to haul away the waste, such as Junkbusters.
You can order 'big bags' for collection, have your waste collected by lorry or order a container. You agree on a time for collection and the waste is taken care of in an environmentally friendly way. Have you ever used a bulky waste collection service and what is your experience?

I can almost see you struggling with the rubbish. There seems to be a lot of things the municipality is interested in. Do they think you threw the rubbish in the water or...?
I have no experience at all with bulky waste. But see these Pink bags or sometimes they are orange or purple also everywhere in the city.

BP, haha, yes, the municipality is interested in a lot of things, such as how fast the air spins around and other things that you haven't even thought of yourself... I understand that they have a lot to do... especially if they are as careful with the New Karolinska Hospital and Friends Arena...
Yes, I think it's very practical to have the rubbish collected like this! We tried to save on everything we could, but otherwise I would have gladly chosen a solution like this! Previously, when we lived in a condominium, the whole house ordered a container once a year. Very practical!

In our BRF, a container comes one weekend a month and it always gets full on two red, do not understand that people can have so much stuff to throw away all the time. 😀

Alexandra, every month...? Wow! Is it a large community centre? Where we used to live, we brought in one container a year...

To be honest, I don't know how big BRFs usually are, but there are about 200 apartments in ours.

Alexandra, yes, but it sounds pretty big! We were maybe 50...
