West coast of France
Wow! We don't know what to say. Can it be this beautiful? Today we have stopped in different places with the campervan, gone out and looked and photographed, and gasped for breath. This is one of the most beautiful places we have visited. Ever. We would like to write a lot of wise things, but it feels like pictures talk better right now. Like Swedish has no words for this landscape.
We started in the small fishing village of Camaret-sur-Mer, where you can eat all kinds of seafood and drink coffee in small cafés. It's also home to the Tour Vauban (Golden Tower), part of a collection of fortifications listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Camaret-sur-Mer in France
We parked our motorhome just on the edge of the fishing village because we arrived late in the evening. When we wake up and go down to this small picturesque village with old ships still in the harbour, the French sitting in cafes with checkered tablecloths, well then it feels like a good day. Only 3000 people live here and it feels genuine.
Dramatic nature
As the village is on the far side of the Brittany coast, the dramatic scenery is also just ten minutes from the small fishing harbour. There is also a large campsite for motorhomes, caravans and lots of cottages. The campsite is called Lannic and was not open when we were there.
Ploughboy
Yesterday we were in Camaret-Sur-Mer. Today we have moved on to the next cape in the world. Brittany and stands in the village of Plogoff. It is almost as beautiful here. Maybe you get used to it if you live here? Well, not then! This is a place where you could settle down when you get older, if not, I want to visit this place once more in my life. Have you been to the French west coast? What is your experience?
