Everyday life on the road - motorhome travel in Europe

When you are travelling for a whole year, there is a lot of everyday life too. Today we have paid bills and washed clothes. On other days, we go shopping or take care of the motorhome. There is always something to do!

Washing clothes

There is a washing machine (€4.50 per wash) and tumble dryer (€3 per tumble) available to borrow here at the Centre. the car park in Albufeira. We've been here for a while now, and we're still here because we're still waiting for the ACSI camping card, which we've ordered... Good thing there's service in the form of washing machines!

Tvättstuga
The instructions for the washing machine are even in Swedish - so we're not the first Swedes here, so to speak....

Always something to do

It's raining and cold, so we spend a lot of time in the car. Many times there is something practical that needs to be done. In between, Peter reads and I write (I have a writing project in the works). In the evening we play Trivial Pursuit on Playstation or watch a film. And then, of course, there's shopping, cooking and eating!

So, how does it feel to be travelling for this long? Strangely enough, it feels completely normallylike this is how it should be. But every now and then we have to pinch ourselves and think, "Wow, we're actually on this journey for real!"

Books on the bookshelf in the campervan - we read a lot!
Salad is great for lunch on hot days.
