Not far from Roquetas de Mar is Aguadulce, with its beautiful marina. We took a trip there yesterday with the motorhome and strolled around the docks. Really a cosy environment with all the boats, fish restaurants, small shops and people off on Sundays.
Marinan in Aguadulce
The marina of Aguadulce is located about 9 kilometres northeast of Roquetas de Mar, and about 15 kilometres west of Almería, on the south coast of Spain. The town of Aguadulce is located in the province of Provincia de Almería in the region of Andalusia, about 40 kilometres south of Madrid. The town of Aguadulce itself has around 16,000 inhabitants, but we did not see much of it. We contented ourselves with hanging out in the nice marina.
Lovely day at the marina in Aguadulce
We had a lovely day at the marina in Aguadulce, just enjoying the weather, the water and watching the boats. Here we experienced a really nice holiday atmosphere. The fish restaurants were open, the boats were chugging in and out and people were sitting in the sun having a good time.
The children were eating ice cream or chasing pigeons. What a great atmosphere there can be in a marina! It was not without reason that we began to miss our own marina home in Sweden a bit! But of course it is cold and rough right now ... We really appreciate being here in the warmth of southern Spain!

See more nearby: Roquetas de Mar
Not far from the marina in Aguadulce you will find Roquetas de Mar, where we are staying with our motorhome at the campsite. In the city, which has around 90,000 inhabitants, you can see the bullring, walk along the beach and maybe stop somewhere for a good tapas (recommended!).
The campsite is really big and right next to the sea. If you stay at the campsite in the low season, you get two pitches for the price of one, which means the pitches are huge.

Marina, so true!

Steve, no we haven't seen any houseboats. Maybe too stormy a sea? Maybe in sheltered harbours, I don't know?
Znogge, at least things are going in the right direction now!
