Now we are standing on a pitch in Valencia here in Spain, namely Valencia Camper Park. We have left Benidorm behind us and are looking forward to a few days with a really colourful festival. Right now there is a calm before the storm, so to speak. And this campsite in Valencia is perfect for resting!
Nice pitch in Valencia
The site is called Valencia Camper Park and is located a bit outside Valencia. However, you should be able to travel into the city by metro. The metro runs right outside the car park and tickets can be bought at the reception.
The site currently costs €12/day and an additional €3/day if you want electricity. Motorhomes are safely parked inside walls and there are staff at the reception. WiFi is included in the price and there is even a small restaurant next to the reception. This feels like a nice, safe and well-maintained site. Admittedly, there's pretty much nothing in the immediate vicinity, but since it's easy to get into town, it should be fine.
Festival in Valencia
So why did we go to Valencia? Well, on 15-19 March it's time for the big festival. Las Fallas here. We don't know much about this festival yet, but it seems to be a colourful event with statues, bonfires and fireworks. We'll be back with pictures of course!
We're also going to meet a blogger who lives here in Valencia, which will be great fun! But the fact is that we met bloggers already when we rolled into this car park. Inger and Ingemar, from Inger's Blog, is also here!

Oh what timing!!! I have experienced Las Fallas and can really recommend it!!! Looking forward to hearing what you think!

solveig rhann says:
Las Fallas, that was last year. Now you get lively and happy with lots of firecrackers. Cool, the sound rolled between the houses and the ground vibrated. Good for the bloodstream. Say hello to Inger from us, if she remembers who we are. Bloggers meet so many people all the time, not easy to keep track of everyone. Have fun. We remain at Bonterra camping in Benecassim until the 20th. Have rented a car, now we will go up in the mountains and ravage!
14 March 2015 - 17:36
BP says:
Cool! Valencia is a beautiful city and being part of such a festival is perfectly timed.
Don't forget the food market there - much better than Benidorm and Carrefour!

Åsa, what fun! We look forward to tomorrow!
BP, yes it was good timing! And the food market sounds nice!
🙂
Solan, sounds exciting! We understood from Inger and Ingemar that it was lively and noisy in the city already today! Take it easy with the mountains!
🙂

Lars Permeln says:
I get positive vibes from Valencia, don't really know why, want to remember that it was a singer who came from there. Las Fallas can certainly be an experience, maybe not so good if you have a dog in the motorhome. Have fun.

Mr Steve says:
Las Fallas. Awesome!

Maggan and Ingemar says:
Valencia is a city we have only travelled past. Usually it has rained a lot so there has been no visit there yet. Fun when the Spaniards have a festival. Say hello to Inger and Ingemar, it has been a long time since we met in Spain. We are now standing on a stpl NE of Rome in a small village called Montopoli far out in the country 🙂.
Enjoy the festivities.

Lena & Jan says:
Have a good festival in Valencia! 🙂 🙂 On your former site, the 2nd team has now arrived, a German couple who were disappointed with the Morocco winter stay. Previously a Swedish couple who landed in Malaga, where the motorhome was waiting (parked), continued north this morning.

Hello again young people! I have a Dutch guy as a neighbour, apparently this particular site accepts a small touring caravan? Do you have the desire and time to check it out? Then I can notify the rolling Dutchman!

Why not Valencia I would say 😉 Certainly a city that offers a lot! A festival is rarely wrong.

Marina, how nice that you feel that way! The festival is totally cool! Will return with a report as soon as I have time.
Ama de casa, you will soon see even more pictures!
😉
Lars and Inger, thank you! The festival is really moving here!
🙂
Solan, we're in town now and won't be home until tonight (to check the fireworks) and so can't ask until tomorrow, but I'm almost certain it will be fine! We saw all sorts of vehicles there! A van with a big trailer, a car with a tent and maybe even a regular caravan (not sure). If the places with electricity inside the fence are exhausted, there are also perfectly ok places just outside, a little cheaper and without electricity. There are also many cars and among other things the tent I mentioned.
Znogge, so far Valencia seems like a great city and the festival is very festive, I'll be back soon!
Rolle and Carina, we have!
🙂
