Corsica-Sardinia ferry, how does it work? Good in our experience. Ferries run from Bonifacio in southern Corsica to Santa Teresa in northern Sardinia. The Corsica-Sardinia ferry takes 50 minutes and is easy to continue travelling with your motorhome. The ferries are very frequent and we were there 45 minutes before.
Corsica-Sardinia ferry
The ferry, which runs from Bonifacio in Corsica to Santa Teresa in Sardinia is the shortest route between Corsica and Sardinia. In fact, the journey takes only 50 minutes. The ferry runs four times a day at the moment and now in the low season (June) you don't need to book in advance, just drive down to the ferry terminal in good time and buy a ticket. However, if it is high season (July - September), it may be a good idea to book the ticket a little in advance.
For two adults and a motorhome we had to pay about 1300 SEK. During the whole trip we stood on the deck and photographed and enjoyed the view. Then it was time to enter a new country! From France to Italy ...
It is difficult to leave Corsica, which has offered so many feelings about what is beautiful. You get a different idea of what beautiful means and it is in many different ways. To experience the natural beauty that still exists on the island of Corsica is difficult to explain, and it doesn't exist on the mainland around Europe.

Arriving in Sardinia
We are now in Sardinia and yesterday was a very exciting and intense day. We continued on from the ferry terminal in Santa Teresa and we can reveal that we travelled on another ferry... Can you possibly guess where? We'll tell you more soon!

It is really exciting to take a ferry between the islands. We did Split a few years ago. Ps. Wrote a rather long post about small and large motorhomes yesterday and also today, but it apparently did not come in, why I do not know. Now I test with this.

It's hard to imagine the refugee disaster that happened and yes, that's going on when you see these pictures. It's such an incredible contrast, it's the first thing that strikes me and I find it so hard to take in. Do you notice any of that now when you are out on the islands in the Mediterranean? Military presence etc. These luxury yachts and then the smugglers' boats so close. Think of the Roman Empire and antiquity, society as it was then with slaves and soldiers in abundance. It would be nice to be able to exhale and think that we won't be like that for long. At least it's still just as beautiful, one can assume!

Nils-Åke, yes it feels exciting - new destination and new country! 🙂
Steel city Anna, sometimes when I'm on a ferry I think about these terrible refugee disasters. The world is very unfair, and you wonder where it will go. No, we haven't noticed anything though...
