Propriano in Corsica is a charming and pleasant little village on the coast. In Propiano there is a harbour with many small boats, and although the village only has just over 3000 inhabitants, there are plenty of cosy restaurants. In the evening we found a campsite just outside: Camping Tikiti.

An afternoon in Propriano
We have spent an afternoon in Propriano, just walking along the sea and the streets. We must say that this is a nice little town. The restaurants are packed with attractive outdoor seating and there are many boats to look at. While we strolled around, the motorhome was well down in the harbour.
Fishing village on the coast
Propriano is a cosy little waterfront town with a charming marina. Propriano is a fishing village of 3000 inhabitants on the south-west coast of Corsica, with its stunning location on the Bay of Valinco. The harbour promenade and marina are lined with cafés next to the beautiful beaches. Hotels and holiday apartments have become more popular with more tourists, who appreciate the protective bay from Porto Pollo to Campomoro.
Camping in Corsica
We have now reached the campsite Tikiti, which is a bit outside Propriano (not walking distance). Here we have found a corner among the trees where we stand really well. Next to us camped some motorcyclists with tents. There seems to be both a pool and close to the beach, but it started raining in the evening, so we have mostly hung in the motorhome and had a good time.
Campsites in Corsica
What I like about Campsites in Corsica is that they're so wild. They are kind of beautiful in an uncontrolled way. It's hilly, green, flowery ... as nature happens to be. Often there are no specific "places" with numbers, you just have to stand somewhere you feel comfortable, and if there happens to be a power pole nearby, you can run your cable there.
The campsite is crazy big and only small roads and nature. You do not notice others who have come here because you feel like in a jungle. Corsica has everything!

We prefer above all a campsite built on a terrace, preferably slightly hilly and not just flat land, but well maintained. Have a good time

admin says:
Matts, terraces can be nice. I like it to be a bit disorganised, but it has to be disorganised in the right way! 🙂 That is, it should be clean and tidy and the staff should be available and friendly. But I think it is a bit charming with nature areas where you can stand where you want and where the staff trusts you.

Ditte says:
It will be a completely different feeling here than with the large campsites that are sometimes far from the sea and feel impersonal. Understand that you enjoy it!
