We are staying with our friends in Arboga now. They have rented winter storage for both their and our motorhome, and have also helped us buy a new car while we have been travelling. Yesterday we spent most of the day cleaning and washing the motorhome - and fixing our new Mini-Freedom with bumper stickers.
The Freedom family
There are now no less than three members of the Freedom family: the camper van, the houseboat and the small car, which I now call Mini-Freedom. The new family member is a 2005 Renault Clio with an engine heater, which we bought second-hand. Peter really wanted a small car this time, but he has never had a car this small before so he thinks it feels like driving a go-kart! And of course he wanted a Freedom car ...
Attaching bumper stickers
Peter ordered the car decals from Dekaltrim.nu. On the website you could enter any text and choose the font, colour and size. The decals were delivered carefully rolled up and yesterday it was time to attach them to the car. First, the car had to be washed and soaked. The decals were then pressed into place and the protective cover was carefully removed. Then it's just a matter of carefully adjusting and pushing out any air bubbles. If you see this car now, you'll know it's us!

Mr Steve says:
Cars are usually tough or cheeky with decals, but this little guy is just cute. You're becoming a household name in the travel world and are doing your best to make sure no one forgets you.

Mrs Anne-Marie says:
You are really visible wherever you are. 🙂 Celebrities in the travel world.
How does it feel to be back in Sweden after such a long time travelling?
Of course you should name your car. I have done so.

Cool! Although I doubt that Anders will want Ama de casa stickers on his car.
(We have been recognised anyway... 😉 )

Ditte says:
What a fun idea! And the perfect name with "Mini Freedom". But I saw now that it said "Freedom" and the rest is up to you...?
So now I'm keeping an eye out!
Welcome back and with all the "Freedoms" nearby.

Mr Lars Permelin says:
As I said, a fun idea, but a bit too small for my taste. Especially if you are going out and driving in winter weather and longer distances. Know that there is a lot of noise in a Clio. We had one for a short time and then gave it away to our daughter who was in greater need of an extra car.

So, how cool it is 🙂

Congratulations on a metropolitan car. Now I think Peter should drive shirtless all year round so EVERYONE can see his back with the logo on it. Smart to build the brand!

BP, isn't he cute? 😉
Steve, I agree that it turned out more cute than tough! 😉
Anne-Marie, what is the name of your car? It actually feels good to be home in Sweden! We thought it would be depressing, but it's fun to see family and friends and we have many events and trips to look forward to!
Ama de casa, haha I would love a car with Ama de casa stickers! 😉
Lennart, thank you! I'm glad you think so!
Active Days-Camilla, just get started! 🙂
Rolle and Carina, haha that might be something! We actually printed two jackets a long time ago, but my jacket is water damaged now...
Well, he's not big anyway 😉 .
Ditte, thank you! And nice to see you today! 🙂
"Lars Permelin, we will mostly use it in the Stockholm area, so we probably won't drive it very far very often. But it's certainly small.
Discovering the planet, 😉
Solan, haha I told Peter that he might want to start driving shirtless, but he said "No" in a very firm voice for some reason... 😉.

Marina says:
Of course it was cute - and yes, a car can definitely be cute! Now I know that it can be a bit taboo in some circles (usually the circles consisting of people of the male gender) to call a car "cute", but since I do not belong to that circle, I think so!

Marina, haha yes maybe it is? Well, this car is so sickly small (imagine how much easier it is to pocket park than with the motorhome!) and small is often sweet 😉.
