Last night there was full activity at our kitchen table in the houseboat with microphones and recording equipment - we were recording an episode for the Travelling podcast. So very exciting!
Travelling podcast
Travelling podcast is a podcast about ... yes, travel! Lisa from the blog Life from the bright side and Annika from the blog Travel Friday started this podcast very recently because they thought there was a lack of a personal podcast about travelling. They have released two episodes so far and the latest one was about travelling at Christmas. Really a super fun initiative we think!
If you're as 'out of touch' with podcasts as we were until recently, we can tell you that a podcast is a recorded radio programme that you can listen to whenever you want. You can listen directly on the Travelling podcast website or download the episodes from iTunes.
Recording a podcast episode
How was it to record then? Quite nervous actually! Lisa and Annika were very professional, even though Lisa was taking care of her 2-week-old baby at the same time. We felt unaccustomed to the recording situation, but it was of course great fun to talk about travelling and we had a very nice evening!
We will be in episode 4 of the Travel podcast, and we will talk about our 1 year long campervan trip around Europe. The episode will be broadcast in January, and we will of course remind you when it is time if you want to listen. If you want to listen to previous podcast episodes, just check it out now!

So fun to tell about the trip, I can imagine 🙂 It is kind of reused and a little relived several times over! It will be exciting to hear the episode.

It's great that you will be there. Of course I will be listening.
Excitingly worse!
I have already listened to the first two episodes of the "Travelling Podcast" and found them to be good.

You really live with your travelling in everyday life. It's good that you remind me because I want to listen to you, of course.

We were natural born podcasters! Don't think it was the last time you visited a podcast... Thanks for yesterday!

Haha, I mean NI of course. Be a little quick on the publish button there.

What fun! I agree, a true podcast is missing. I listen to a lot of Swedish podcasts, cures homesickness, it feels a bit like being in Sweden and listening to chatter in the background.

BP says:
God soooooooo funny! I definitely want to listen to that. So thanks for the reminder in advance:-)
Good girl to "work" with a newborn baby. Then you are really dedicated! At my job, podcasts are also made but as web TV. Almost a pity that it is "only" an audio podcast;-)

Lisa & life on the bright side says:
Many thanks for yesterday!
Have listened to the material today and it sounds excellent - not the slightest hint of nervousness anywhere.
It will be great fun to put it together as a full episode and publish it in January. We look forward to it!
Have a nice weekend!

Linnea, it is of course fun to talk about the trip! But it is not always done with microphones on... 😉.
Lennart, yep 😉
Ama de casa, probably the most exciting for us who were quite nervous, haha 😉.
Anna in Dubai, so far we have to settle for being "pod stars", not so bad haha 😉.
Ditte, glad you listened to the two previous podcast episodes as well and liked them! I haven't really gotten used to that with podcasts yet, but maybe I should!? 😉
Steve, haha, yes it tends to be like that! Travelling is a big part of our life, even when we are at home! 🙂
Travel Friday, haha it didn't feel like that... But it was great fun that we got to participate! 🙂
Steel city Anna, interesting to hear that you feel that way about podcasts. Can understand it when you describe it!
BP, yes, you are a little impressed when someone works with a two-week baby, not everyone does! I actually did not know that podcasts could also be TV, you always learn something!
Lisa, that's good to hear! We felt afterwards that it was perhaps a little stiff, maybe... Difficult when you are unfamiliar 😉 But it was great fun that we got to participate!
