Time for a new outfit for the New Year's Eve party? New Year's Eve is fast approaching. Haven't planned the menu yet? Don't know what to wear? We don't have any suggestions for a New Year's menu right now, but if you're male and need to update your wardrobe, we might have a little tip. If you've been following the blog, you might be able to guess where Peter got these new shoes. But just wait until you see the jackets!
News on Taracci
A lot of new items have been added to the shop. Taracci, including stylishly designed shirts and very cool jackets. All the jackets are designed with stylish details and some have detachable hoods. Some are discreetly black, while designer Feyo Taracci has played with colour for others. And which do you think Peter and his son Robin went for? A blue one and an orange one... I think they are super cool! What do you think?
Clothes for the New Year party
The Taracci store is located at Tegnergatan 14 in Stockholm, near Rådmansgatan metro station. Here you will find shirts, trousers, jeans, vests, jackets, outerwear, belts, ties, cufflinks and shoes. You're also quite likely to find Peter's son Robin, who works here.
It may seem like we like Taracci just because Robin works here, but it's actually the opposite. Taracci has been Peter and Robin's favourite store for many years, and it was precisely this that led to Robin getting a job here a few years ago. And yes, of course the midweek sale has started! There are lots of great clothes for the New Year's Eve party - and for other occasions, of course.
How will you celebrate New Year's Eve this year? Are you going to celebrate in Sweden or have you planned a New Year's trip? Do you know what to wear?
Ama de casa says:
Very nice! Both the boys and the clothes 🙂
We usually have a rule that we have to wear clothes on New Year's Eve. Haha! So not boys' clothes, but those that you can go outside the house in. Sometimes we stay at home and ignore the rules 😀.

BP says:
Yes, the jackets are different, so to speak. I definitely like the idea of the hood - multifunction, as it were. I'm a bit surprised that Peter didn't choose the orange jacket. He usually has such colourful bracelets so it would have been nice with an orange jacket. But the boys can swap with each other. They seem to be about the same size.

Hi, I'm glad you commented on my blog!
Answer: Norrland always delivers,
I have never yet experienced a Christmas without snow.
This year it has been very warm, we have even had rain, but right now minus 13.

Stylish jackets with nice details on handsome guys. Appropriate! As for New Year, nothing has been decided yet; neither food, clothes nor what we will do.....But it will happen.
We have plenty of clothes of all kinds.

Cool jackets and cool shoes too! However, have a little difficulty with real leather / leather / fur... Especially if the animals have not been eaten as well 😉 For once, we will actually do something on New Year's Eve, go on a cruise so this year it might be worth dressing up! Haha.

Mr Steve says:
Odd variants, I must say, but not really my thing. But I guess my generation is not the target group either. In the world of fashion, it is of course both necessary and allowed to take turns to create renewal. But a jacket with a hood? Wow!
I am now in the situation that I cannot dress as I would like, which means that I also have no problem with what to wear on different occasions. It kind of goes without saying.
On New Year's Eve, which is usually celebrated here at Getingstorp, I will try on a new shirt that I received as a Christmas present. Nowadays, I always wish for clothes because it is so difficult to find something that fits my sprained body and the more people who are looking, the greater the chance of finding something viable.

Ama de casa, good dress code! ??
BP, haha, Peter was actually very keen on the orange jacket, but I thought he looked better in the blue one 😉.
Åsa in Åsele, yes Norrland is probably a safe bet if you want a white Christmas!
Ditte, it usually gives itself! Always a little difficult to plan for both Christmas and New Year, I think, but somehow it will always be! 😉
Rantamor on Näthinnan, taste is like cake and it's good to have different opinions!
Alexandra, let's hope the calf was eaten too! I don't mind eating and using products from animals really, but it depends on how it's done!
Åsa, we had a super cosy New Year's Eve with you last year! Hope you have a nice New Year's Eve this year again!
Ulla & Torgny, glad you think so! Good continuation to you too!
Decdia, I understand what you mean! Even when something is not my style, I can think it's fun that people dare a little, not least colour! 😉
Katarina Wohlfart, glad you like it! 😉 Wishing good continuation!
Susjos, glad you like the jackets and welcome to look around on our blog! We focus on travelling and camping, but also write a lot about everyday life and living in our houseboat 🙂.
Steve, not everything has to suit everyone and it's good that you can have different opinions! Nice with a new shirt as a Christmas present! 🙂

Henny says:
Well, the jackets are nice but they are not my taste. I don't think I would have put something like that on my old man either. But we belong to different generations, Peter and me.
However, our family does not have any clothing problems for New Year's Eve celebrations. We go up to the mountain cabin and then the most important thing to pack is a thick sweater and long johns.
There will also be plenty of snow up there, so snowmobile rides and ice fishing are on the programme. Grilling sausages in a snow bivouac on New Year's Eve will be part of our celebrations. But of course there will be bubbly and a roe toast at midnight too.

Henny, in the mountain cabin it's probably better to wear a thick jumper and long johns! It sounds like a cosy New Year celebration and a löjromstoast can never be wrong! 🙂
