Yesterday we attended the opening of a small exhibition of travel photography at Scandinavian Photo in Stockholm. The photographer Lola Akinmade Åkerström is exhibiting her fantastic pictures.
Lola Akinmade Åkerström
Lola Akinmade Åkerström has won many awards for her photos and her work is represented by none other than National Geographic Creative. Her photos have been featured in National Geographic Traveler, BBC, CNN, The Guardian, Lonely Planet and New York Times online, just to name a few of the well-known locations.
Born in Nigeria, Lola has travelled in over 60 countries and is currently based in Sweden (although she is often on the move). Lola is also one of the founders of the Nordic Travel Bloggers Collective, which brings together professional travel bloggers in the Nordic countries. Since we are members, we already know Lola. If you want to see more of Lola's photos and travel experiences, you can check out her page. Geotraveler's niche.
The exhibition Chasing Light
The exhibition, organised in collaboration with Galleri Duerr, consists of about 20 fantastic travel photographs in large format, on so-called fine art print (which I can't explain exactly, but means that the quality of the images is very good). The images take you to places like Lagos in Nigeria, Nice in France and the northern parts of Sweden.
One of the photos shows a motorhome camping by the sea ... worth dreaming about, right? The best thing about the exhibition is that you can just pop into Scandinavian Photo on Sveavägen 20. The exhibition runs from 16 March to 24 April and is open every day (shop hours).

Lina, of course she is! And the photos are even more beautiful when displayed this way (amazing quality!) than when you see them on a screen,
Anette, yes, and it's so easy to slip in there when you're still in town. The exhibition is located at the back of the Scandinavian Photo shop. It runs until 24 April.
Ama de casa, a bit far to go from Spain perhaps 😉 .
Comsi Comsa, easy to peek in when you are still in town. The exhibition is located at the end of the photo shop 🙂

Very nice to see new art. Unfortunately, I don't have access to it. I can recommend this exhibition to my mother-in-law and sister-in-law who live very close by. I will also take a look at Lola's blog÷)
