A few years ago, the Swedish travel blog network was formed and since then it has been easier, and perhaps above all more fun, to be a travel blogger in Sweden. The atmosphere among Swedish travel bloggers is, according to us, very good. They help each other, give tips and advice and exchange thoughts on Facebook, on each other's blogs and sometimes ... in real life. Last night we were visited by two Swedish travel bloggers!
So why did we have a visitor yesterday? Well, the Östersund-based blogger Dryden (Daniel) happened to be visiting Hufvudstaden on a work-related matter and wondered if any travel bloggers wanted to get together during the evening. Both we and the blogger Katarina had, and so it became a nice evening with intense talk about travel and blogging!
Two travel blogs to check out
Dryden runs the blog Dryden.se Traveler's Edtion - a travel blog with great photos and sharp texts. The posts are often written with a touch of humour and are not always so polished and unreflectively positive, which can otherwise be a common trap in the travel blog world. On the blog, you can expect widely varying destinations such as Zanzibar and Norrland, and perhaps a little extra airplane reflections. Next trip is to Vancouver!
Katarina runs the blog Lost at last - a travel blog with a special focus on photography. Katarina, who lives in Stockholm, is a dedicated and knowledgeable travel photographer. On the blog you will find pictures from cities and places around Europe, and it is clear that Katarina is above all devoted to nature, and not least the Swedish one. One of the planned destinations this year is the fantastic Faroe Islands!
Lanclin says:
If I ever get the idea to blog about something other than travel and places in the world, I will consider the decision VERY carefully 🙂 Being part of the Swedish travel bloggers' network is incredibly educational and gosh so much inspiration, help and pep you get in questions about everything between heaven and earth! I am so very grateful for that. I hope I give back from time to time 😉

Mr Steve says:
Östersund-based blogger in Stockholm yesterday. Then I would have thought that it was the match Hammarby-Östersund 1-1 that attracted, but there are other things that attract in the capital, I see.

Mr Steve says:
"Östersund-based blogger" it should of course say. I sometimes get sloppy even though I'm basically not a sloppy person at all.

Discovering The Planet says:
I agree. You suddenly feel less
alone in blogging and have somewhere to
ask all those questions that come up both in the context of
here and there. And so many new friendships you
have got on the road :)...

Dryden - Traveller's Edition says:
Steve, it's easy to believe that. Especially when I have some interest in football but no, not this time. 🙂
Thank you for a really nice evening! The travel blog network is incredibly rewarding and developing and there are so many great people that I have got to know during these few years I have been part of it! Wonderful!

Lina, it would be great if you wanted to come and visit us in the boat some day! 🙂
Åsa, there was fish soup and bread and cheese. And our guests brought good white wine! 😉
Steve, I see that Dryden himself has given a better answer to this 😉.
Maria Nycander, very nice and always rewarding to talk to others who are doing similar things as you are doing 🙂.
Lennart, indeed! 🙂
Towe, that sounds like a great idea! 🙂
Anita, it was very nice! Hope to see you at some point!
Hallin, yes indeed! Hope to see you at some point! 🙂
Ditte, there was plenty to talk about (and it was a bit late too ;)).
Katarina, I think you look like a very nice guy! 🙂
Bosse and Gerd, it's nice to have meetings like this that you decide at fairly short notice. Simple and nice!
Discovering the planet, right? The network has meant so much to us!
Dryden, thank you! And we say the same, fantastic exchange and many nice people! 🙂

Ama de casa, it's really like that for us too! The blog has given us so much, in different ways. We really had no idea what it would lead to when we started!

Helena, mini-blog meetings are nice and you almost always get some new inspiration or a good tip 🙂 .
Johanna, you are so welcome when you visit Stockholm! 🙂
Linda, it's a great and nice network! The only requirement to join is that you have a blog that is largely (at least 20 per cent) about travel.
Elisabeth, always fun to meet blog friends! 🙂
Eva, what fun if you come and visit! In the middle / end of May we are a week in Croatia, but otherwise we are probably home. Get in touch by email or on FB! 🙂
Anna, it would be great fun if you wanted to come by on occasion! Just to get in touch 🙂
