This is the start of the great season for sitting outside and eating dinner on the deck. Here we can soak up the sun and enjoy watching all the boats poking in and out of the marina, just past the bow of our houseboat.
Dinner on deck
It got a little, a little chilly after a while and I had to go and get a jumper, but so what? The sun and warmth are here now, and there will be many more meals on deck. Yesterday it was chicken, split potatoes, hummus and salad.
At some point we will inaugurate the barbecue as well (which so far has only been used by our tenants when we were travelling). Have you had any outdoor meals yet?
lively boating
Large sailing boats, small motor boats, canoes, old boats and new boats ... Our houseboat is located with the bow facing the inlet so there is always something to look at or someone to wave to. We can't drive anywhere ourselves in our houseboat, but it moves around us anyway!
We will mostly be at home this long weekend, enjoying the nice spring weather in the marina. What are your plans for the weekend?
Frankie & Co says:
Looks lovely and tasty! Welcome home from Croatia, by the way, was Freedom changed now in some way when you tested the small house van.
Have a nice weekend and SOL on you!

Frankie & Co, thank you! I know it's a bit weird now with several Croatia trips 😉 We go down in mid-May to go around Istria with a small motorhome! This time we were on a short visit to Split because we were nominated for the Golden Pen award 🙂 Wish you a nice weekend!
Aila, yes we heard that you met at Independence, what fun! 🙂 Wish you a great weekend in Kristinehamn!
Matts, it is at its best here in this weather! 🙂

Isn't it wonderful with the heat! Have enjoyed every day this week when I cycled to and from work, enjoyed the sun and that it has become greener and greener. So wonderful! We have not eaten outdoors yet, or well yes breakfast on Sunday we actually ate on the terrace in the cottage, but that does not really count. But this weekend now the grill goes out and there will be a dinner premiere outside.
Nice weekend to you! 🙂

At last we have a warming sun, but the nights are cold.
There was frost in the grass this morning and we are still south.

How wonderful you live! 🙂
There will probably be some horse parades at the Feria de Mayo (renamed Feria de Sevillianas). Saturday and Sunday they usually ride around down there in the festival area, the beautiful Andalusian horses with their beautifully dressed riders. Then there are some other models on horses as well and of course a festive atmosphere! 🙂
Yeah, we do. We've probably eaten out once or twice already... 😉.
Have a wonderful flying day!

We have a conservatory and also a large terrace outside it. We try to utilise this as much as we can. Mostly coffee on the terrace and food in the conservatory. That's how it is at home.
The weekend we take it easy at home have talked about Copenhagen and our daughter there get to see what it will be.

Christine, that sounds lovely! Yes, the weekend will probably be a perfect opportunity to grill! 🙂
Lennart, oh frost! I do not really know what the temperatures are here at night, but at least it is nice now in the morning! 🙂
Ama de casa, it sounds festive with horse parades 🙂 And I can understand that you have had time to eat out a bit before us 😉.
Nils-Åke, lovely with your outdoor room, and Copenhagen plans sound nice! 🙂

This weekend we're supposed to get rain, but that's good because then I might get my butt out of the carriage and clean properly. Otherwise, we eat lunch outside pretty much all year round. Dinner out is a little shorter part of the year, but quite often as well. Sometimes (like last Tuesday) we had to eat inside because it was too hot outside, then it was 30 degrees at half past seven in the evening.

Yes, you live really nicely, like having a "front row seat" 🙂 .
Yesterday we grilled for the first time, but ate inside it was a bit chilly on our patio. We also have "balcony space" 🙂 and can follow what is happening on the water. We like gardening so it will be our occupation some days ahead.

How delicious! Wonderful! Isn't it great to have premieres?
Today we will have our greenhouse premiere with an Italian evening.
Before that, I hope to have completed the first mowing of the lawn.

Sure, it's a nice feeling to sit outside and watch the boats go by and everything else that happens. We never get tired of the view of the water and all the boats that pass by.
We had a dinner out on the balcony on Tuesday. However, we started eating too late, at 19 o'clock so a cardigan was put on.
The nice weather continues and we stay at home in Stockholm for the rest of the weekend. Soon it's off again.
Have a nice weekend!

Yes, how lovely you have it in the marina. Wonderful weather for you this weekend too.
Of course you're on deck then.
Yes, that white boat in picture 1 is so. so nice! I usually see it from time to time from my sister's balcony.
I wouldn't mind living on a houseboat in the Pampas!!!
Enjoy the weekend. Here we do not have KRHF, just a normal week. AND shitty weather too :-/

Åsa, there are advantages to rain 😉 And moving in because it's TOO hot outside, well that hardly ever happens in Sweden... 😉.
Maggan and Ingemar, isn't it wonderful to have a view of the water? 🙂 Wish you a nice garden weekend!
Steve, wishing you great premieres! 🙂
FantasyDining, let us know the next time you come to Stockholm! You are very welcome to stop by!
Ditte, you also have a lovely view! Wishing a continued nice weekend!
Znogge, yes and we have not had time to sit there so much after all, so this year we will take the opportunity! 🙂
Annika, that boat is fantastic, I agree! Of course we will enjoy! Eventually the nice weather will come to you too 🙂 .

Such lovely pictures! Not bad to be close to the water! We've been eating on the balcony for a few days now and it's almost like being outside Ellen. It's nice to be in the apartment for a change and have some social life on the home front.
