We have now finished the Stora Nolia fair and are heading south in the motorhome. This will be the last post about the fair. Did we do any shopping at Stora Nolia?
What can you shop for?
Honestly, you can shop for almost anything at Stora Nolia! There were many nice motorhomes to look at, but what we missed was motorhome accessories. There were some tables and chairs from Fiamma, but otherwise the accessories were thin on the ground. However, there was plenty of other stuff: clothes, kitchen utensils, gardening equipment, outdoor equipment ... and antiques!
Frying pan and kitchen tools
We did not spontaneously buy a motorhome. However, a frying pan had to come home with us. We're experts at destroying frying pans, but the salesperson at Gastrolux Biotan said that their frying pan would hardly be destroyed, so it will be interesting to see if that's true!
We also watched a guy cutting out fun potato screws with a tool. Along with a handy cutting tool and a small citrus juicer, the whole thing went for £100, so we decided it was worth a try. Otherwise, we have to say that much of what was sold at the fair was quite expensive.
Float underwear
We will also take the opportunity to tell you about the "float underwear" that we looked at. We received a message on the blog from Carola who blogs at Scouting from the towerwho thought we should come and have a look at her stand. It was really interesting, we must say!
The company has spent years developing 'float underwear', which is thin and very lightweight clothing that acts as a life jacket and can be worn underneath clothing. Perfect for situations where using a regular life jacket might feel clumsy. Carola mentioned sailors and snowmobilers, but also the military and the police.

Need a place to stay for the night? Here's a tip!
Between Skellefteå and Umeå there is a free parking space close to the sea. On the E4, Small sign Killingsand 2 km in the area with wind turbines.
Quiet, and right by the sea.

That fair really offered everything in varying quality, I think. Oh I understand that you did not spontaneously buy a house picture for an environment;-)
Stuffed animals are the worst thing I know if I'm honest.
A sensible thing is float underwear, because it can save lives. I'm also thinking of children who don't want to wear a bulky life jacket.

All the market stalls, or whatever you want to call them, can be quite fun to look around. We often buy some specially baked bread, which we freeze when we get to the motorhome.
It has been fun travelling with you, you are so super professional in your posts. Thank you for letting us experience the fair from a distance and maybe we will be tempted to travel there too. Welcome to Elmia in the autumn.

Nice to visit Stora Nolia from a distance. It reminds me of Elmia anyway and there it also tends to be a little half-hearted with pure accessories unfortunately.

Åsa, yes, Sverker must start with Happy Friday! 🙂
Solan, thanks for the tip! Have stayed a little earlier than that, but I think our friends talked about that particular place and thought it was nice!
Åke Hammarbäck, many thanks for the tip! Sounds great! We had travelled further than that when we saw it though, so it had to be another place.
BP, yes, the fair has everything from high to low, so to speak. Float underwear seems really good to us, but they are not as effective as life jackets (with floating collars). But can certainly save lives in many contexts.
Matts, we also bought some food and delicacies, it's always fun and never really unnecessary, because you have to eat 😉 And thank you for the nice words about our blog posts!!!!
Criss-cross, haha, I understood what you meant by "pure accessories". It seems to be the case at most fairs, even Kistamässan in Stockholm, that it is bad on the accessories side.

Yes, frying pans are unfortunately easy to destroy! It will be exciting to see if this lasts longer 😉.
Answer: Yes, some of my photos turn black at the top and bottom - that's because I make a copy of them on my mobile phone...weird, right?!

There seemed to be a lot, and of course you want to sell your products at a fair. But a lot is available anyway. However, it is not the experience of a trade fair.
And as for the floating underwear, it should have a collar to be of the best help in a rescue situation at sea. And for children, life jackets are always required at sea and on piers....
It was great to be with you at the Fair and to experience it through your eyes.

Sounds like a clever thing that you can make potato screws etc. from 🙂 If you actually use it 😉.
