Since 2013, Malibu has been an independent subsidiary of the well-known motorhome manufacturer Carthago. While Carthago is known for producing exclusive premium cars, Malibu was created to make mid-range motorhomes.
Fully and semi-integrated models
Malibu has developed four different models, all of which are available as both fully and semi-integrated. Three of the models are on display at Elmia and all are stylish, with a solid and slightly exclusive feel to the interior. Unfortunately, all the models lack an oven, and it is also difficult to get it as an option because there is no suitable space for an oven.
Here it feels a bit like they have focused on design rather than functionality, which we at FREEDOMtravel think is a shame. The price of these otherwise fine motorhomes is about SEK 750 thousand for the semi-integrated models, and about SEK 100 thousand more for the fully integrated ones.
Vans from Malibu
Malibu has already presented its smaller vans. These are really stylish, we must say, and are available in different colours on the exterior and with different types of wood on the interior. The price for the Malibu 600 db is 560 SEK.

I think colour is great! But plåtis is a little too small for me while I do not like too big motorhomes. Hm, you are never satisfied... But yes, I am, our 6 metre LMC is actually an absolutely wonderful car, just lacks some little things like AC, separate shower and cruise control. 😀

I'm glad I'm not thinking about buying a motorhome. I mean, how could I decide? The choice is somewhat confusing.

Sad with models that are more stylish than practical...but they were really nice!:)

I liked the van! Smart to fold the toilet seat like that and there seemed to be plenty of space under the bed. But almost a little too big for my taste 😉.

I prefer to stay in hotels when travelling, but that red van looks tempting!

After reading your two posts today, I still think the first motorhome you presented was the most appealing, both in terms of price and design.
I like the red colour of the Malibon itself. Most motorhomes are so boring because they are all white.

Speaking of white motorhomes....we met a woman who was so tired of all the rolling fridges. It's nice to have a bit of colour 😉 .

Imelda, yes, but there are sizes for everyone. Nice that you are satisfied! Then there is almost always something you miss 😉 .
Steve, it's not easy to shop, especially if it's your first time 😉.
Nils-Åke, yes but exactly! 🙂
Kattis, it's quite common in the motorhome world that design takes precedence because it sells. But of course they are nice!
Alexandra, haha, there are some occasional vans that are even smaller (4.55) but not many 😉.
Freja, many nice vans have started to arrive!
BP, white is boring, we agree. Recently, there has been a move towards more subtle colours, especially on vans, but even ordinary motorhomes can now have colours such as grey or bronze with black elements, for example.
Solan, it's nice to have a bit of colour. We like it! 🙂

I manage quite well without an oven with an Omnia and grill. The Malibu probably has some of the advantages inherited from Carthago. double floor, storage, visibility down the front window on fully integrated, load weight and many practical features. The question is what to prioritise all the time.
