We have arrived at the Elmia exhibition centre outside Jönköping. In a few days it's time for the campers' New Year's Eve: Sweden's largest motorhome and caravan fair. We are here both as exhibitors and as journalists/bloggers, so we are here in good time. Join us and find out all about the fair!
Good behaviour
Wow! If you've been following us during August, you might remember that we weren't completely satisfied during the Stora Nolia fair in Piteå. It was in itself a fun fair (which is worth visiting!) but the organisation was messy and the cooperation worked ... so-so. Here it has (so far) been just the opposite.
Even before we left it was straightforward. We have received clear information about where we will stand at the fair and we received tickets and stickers for the car in the mailbox in good time. When we rolled into the area, we got a really good reception from the volunteers from the Caravan Club, who also wanted to discuss our blog post about the event. prices for car parks for a while.
Law and order
There is order here, so to speak! We have been assigned a place, given electricity and had to back up to fulfil the fire safety rules. We have also had time to take a quick look at the halls, where the exhibitors are rolling in the cars. In addition, we have found our own place - which we are super happy with! Of course, we wanted to celebrate our arrival with a good dinner. We'll tell you more tomorrow!

I was just thinking about your visit to Piteå at the Nolia fair... thought you must be feeling better now 🙂.

Alexandra, cheer up! See you soon 🙂
Ditte, so far we have only positive things to say about the fair and its organisation.
Steve, good behaviour means a lot when you arrive!
Bruno Riblom, it would be great to see you! Feel free to shout if you see us! 🙂
Anette, thank you! We will of course tell you about everything that happens!
Åsa in Åsele, it feels really good that there was a better reception here! The Stora Nolia fair was very good and fun in itself, so it was a shame that the organisation was so messy all around.
The motorhome Helge, see you soon! 🙂

BP says:
As I told you before (I think), one of the companies I worked for was an exhibitor at Elmia. I was involved in the design of the outdoor stand and helped to polish excavators and wheel loaders. The co-operation with Elmia both before and during the fair has been incredibly good. They really know their stuff. And just as you say - at such a large fair, order is needed. I'm sooooo happy that you are satisfied!

Cattis says:
I can imagine that this is as exciting for you as the Elmia industrial fair is for technology nerds like me and my colleagues! It will be exciting to see and read more in the future!
en: Yes, your answer arrived (only I haven't had time to publish it yet!?) and I thank you so much for taking the time. I will simply have to look for someone who understands these code templates or change the portal!?

Ama de casa, yes that's a good sign! Feels much better when it is organised this way!
Villa Freja, get in touch if you come here! Would be nice to see you 🙂
BP, good to hear that you have the same experience. Yes, logistics and organisation are needed for something this big. Otherwise there will be chaos ...
Kattis, haha, yes, that's probably it! 😉 We'll make sure to report from a few different angles!
Behind door number 11, thank you very much Pia and wish you a nice week too!

I've never been to an Elmia fair. I don't even know what they exhibit there. It seems to be a kind of motorbike fair.
But I have been to fashion fairs. Many, many.
Glad you found me and commented there in my blog....
A: The buttered bread was really good. I wrote that too. But if I hadn't had my computer, the festive typewriter wouldn't have come to my house anyway.

Lena says:
Great organisation; Caravan club has been there at the Elmia fairground for many years, an experience in itself to see how they guide everyone in and out of the area and anyone trying to bluff their way in and out for that matter!

Anna, Travel on a Cloud says:
I'm glad you're off to such a good start! This is going to be great. What a mecca for you - and for everyone who gets to meet you. 🙂
I worked a lot as an exhibitor at the Electricity Fair when I was an information officer at SKB. Met (as you may already know) my future husband at that fair, in 1990 🙂.
Good luck with everything now!

Like, the Elmia fair is located in Jönköping and different types of fairs are held here. Right now it is "Elmia caravan motorhome".
Lena, we heard about that, that some people try to grab seats in places other than where they should be, etc....
Anna, so funny that you met your husband right here! 🙂
