On 16-19 February, Stockholm's own motorhome and caravan fair will take place: Caravan Stockholm. The fair usually marks the start of the camping season, and although it's not the biggest camping fair in Sweden, there's always interesting news to be found. This year you can also listen to ... us! We will have a table during the fair and hold no less than two different lectures.
What happens at the fair?
The fair will of course feature new motorhomes and caravans. The programme also includes the Motorhome School (answering technical questions), the Swedish Transport Agency (answering regulatory questions), the awarding of the "Caravan site of the year" prize and entertainment by David Batra and Pernilla Wahlgren.
In addition, our travel blog colleagues Annika Myhre and Lisa Fahlåker to make a live recording with the Travelling podcast. And last, but not least, we are holding two lectures. On Friday 17 February at 11-11:30 we will give a lecture about travelling with a motorhome in the Albania and Macedonia and on Sunday 19 February at 13-13:30 we will give a lecture on travelling with a motorhome at the Corsica and Sardinia. During the rest of the fair, we will be hanging out at stand E:10 where we live-blog and talk to people. Hope to see you then!?
Free tickets to the fair
Maybe you want a free ticket to the fair? We have a bunch that we can hand out, while they last. Send us an email, tell us how many you are and include your postal address.
More fun news!
We're really looking forward to the fair in February, but we can also tell you that we'll be featured in a magazine story at the end of this month. We can't tell you about it in advance... but we'll let you know as soon as the magazine is out! Tomorrow we'll also tell you about another piece of positive news for us, which is of a more personal nature. Hope you'll stop by then and have a great weekend!
Henny says:
Sounds fun with the fair. I'll see if I can get another nomad interested in coming along, if not, I'll probably show up at your place. Could be fun to compare the fair I just visited here in California with the one in Stockholm.
Could it be a new job to be revealed tomorrow?

Marina says:
If I had been at home, I would probably have tried to get a ticket - even though it is about motorhomes and caravans 😉 And who knows, I might have turned up anyway, because it would have been a bit exciting. But if everything goes as planned, I will be in warmer latitudes then so you can have a lot of luck! (although I probably have time to say that a few more times before)

Ama de casa says:
Wow! So much going on - fun! Would love to come and listen to - and above all meet! - you, but we are not in Sweden then (either, was almost three years since we were there, time to remedy soon I feel)
Also a recurring question... Why are there never any tents at those fairs? 😉

Mr Nils-Åke Hansson says:
Personal character, Will nine have children!
We won't be attending the fair and will read about it instead.

Ditte says:
If I had not been travelling, I would of course have liked to come to the fair (even though I am not a motorhome/caravanner or camper). But it would have been fun to listen to some lectures and David Batra usually gives me a few laughs.
It's great to see positive things happening to you on several levels.

Mr Lars Permelin says:
A friend and I will be attending the fair. It will be fun to see you live. I think I have only missed one fair in Kista since the start. It's always nice to meet like-minded people at the fair.

Fun! Then we have to go on Sunday so we can see your lecture, because on Friday we have to work unfortunately 😉.

Henny, oh what fun if you come. And haha, maybe it can be, we'll see tomorrow 😉.
Lennart, thank you very much!
Marina, warmer latitudes do not sound wrong either! 🙂
Geddfish, thank you! And haha, maybe it could be something like that? We'll see tomorrow! 😉
Anki, thank you very much and have a nice weekend!
Ama de casa, a little long to go from Spain maybe, I don't dare promise that our lecture is sooo good, haha 😉 And tents? My colleague's husband actually sells tents and has been to these fairs sometimes, but tents are apparently not as popular with the Swedish campers as motorhomes ... According to my colleague's husband, in recent years it was dog tents (exhibition tents maybe?) that sold best! 😉
Nils-Åke, oh how many exciting guesses there are! We write tomorrow 🙂
Ditte, it sounds nice to be travelling! Spain or something else?
Lars Permelin, how nice to see you!!! We also usually take a little trip to the fair if we are at home, it is close for us! 🙂
Alexandra, great, see you on Sunday! 🙂

What fun! I haven't planned to go to that fair. I don't have a driving licence and no one else can drive the car for me. But it sounds exciting anyway. I visited Albania as a 15-year-old boy in 1994, and then only Saranda and Butrint. More than happy to go back there!
