Happy Friday! It's not every day you get to celebrate your brother's 60th birthday, but that's what we did on Saturday. It was a really lovely and fun party in a basement vault in the Old Town. We offer some photos!
60 years and party
My much older brother Micke (3.5 years older) turned 60 on Saturday and he had decided to keep it small after all these years. Micke has been with his wife Nilla for over 30 years, and I have passed three long-term relationships in the same time, hmm, who's fault is that?
There would be a pub with a live band in Old Town and rock and blues were on the agenda. His daughter Desiree, who we photographed at the wedding last summer, had her own ideas. She set up a closed Facebook group and invited everyone from many years ago, of course. Who can get away with not going away?
Tears and joy
I had called him and said that I would come later because I was at a blog event that was important, and he knows that we do that from time to time. Of course I stood and met them when they arrived and he was very happy and thought this was the surprise. The pub we were in had two floors with many different cellars and downstairs were the rest of the people who wanted to surprise.
Hugs and tears are wonderful and we had a lovely evening in the pub. We continued after one when it closed home to my son Robin and Alexandra who invited everyone to their home. Home 06,30 huuuu, i'm to old for this shit but NOT 60 yet.
Happy happy Friday
How has your week been? Maybe shit, maybe boring, but there's always something good, right! Think about it and bring out the positives, and throw away all the other stuff like newspapers, Trump and his aunt and uncle and throw all the crap behind your back and smile all weekend. Do something that you don't usually do just to shake things up. Now you have a mission for next Friday, however small, and I want to hear it. Have a really nice weekend. Peter.

What a great surprise party!
I have really done something that I don't usually do and that has shaken up my life. I have received the keys to my new apartment! Now the move goes, both 🙁 and 🙂
Have a nice weekend!

So much fun with a surprise party 🙂
My week; I started with something new, Adapted training at the gym and mindfulness, so now I have 10 exciting weeks ahead of me and it feels great. Maybe there will be speed on the bitch again, towards the summer 😀.

Great party, I understand that your brother was happy about the surprise party 🙂 .
I'm a little impressed that there are several ex-girlfriends,
most often, past relationships are taboo and not something that gets invited to a party.
I am glad to see that you can socialise even though the relationship is over.
I'm often asked if I'm really spending time with my husband's ex-wife (C's mum) and well, sure, why not?
But others seem to find it strange.

There will be a 50th birthday party this weekend!

Peter Bergström says:
Lena - Good for the soul. I think you are now doing something good for the soul. Look forward because we can't do anything about history, but take it with us to make it better. A happier freer Lena will probably come out in time. Many hugs and a few more.
Across the board: Great Anette! I know that you will feel more energetic towards the summer because the older we get, the faster we lose weight. When you have started in the future, you need to pick up the fast muscles. There are many who easily fall when we get older because we do not have time to parry as we did when we were younger, and it has to do with the fact that we need to train fast movements sometimes. Good to hear and start calmly and you are absolutely right. Some hugs for the weekend I send whether you want or not, haha.
Åsa in Åsele: I think we have a lifelong responsibility for our children. Children want security and to feel comfortable. If the parents don't get along, we still have the children with us and it shouldn't affect them. I myself have one very good and one not so good, and I know that sometimes it is not possible. Keep doing what you're doing and laugh about it, because we have enough other problems in life. Are you ready for some hugs this weekend? Here they come!

Peter Bergström says:
Lennart: What a fun weekend you will have. Lots of joy, good food, hugs and maybe some dancing. Have a great weekend Lennart and a few hugs too.

WOW! What a wonderful surprise and what a fantastic celebration - perfect 🙂 But coming home at 06:30? I'd be dead a couple of days later, even though I'm not old either (not the way I feel anyway 😉 ). We seem to be of the same vintage 🙂 ).

Love surprises, understand that you had fun and partied until 06,30, it was good work hahaha
I'm working this weekend and going to a birthday party for a 6-year-old and the other will be 46.
Nice weekend Hugs

Britt-Marie Lundgren says:
What a great party! For some reason, (age?) it feels for days after a too late and a little too fun party, but sometimes it's worth it!
This week's peak is an intense training pain in the WHOLE body after the first CX session (and some treadmill) in six weeks. This is due to a not too serious leg surgery. So nice to be up and running again, but it definitely feels like you are 60+..., but even more important to try to stay reasonably strong and mobile. Britt-Marie Lundgren

AMA DE CASA: Hello there! Of course it was heavy on Sunday and Monday when you turn the clock around. 1960 is a very nice vintage and in the summer in July. My first months were Swedish summer so it's not so strange that I'm happy all the time, haha. Sending hugs so you can be calm for the weekend.
Thank you Marina: We will eat new and good food because it is more vegetarian here now, so I read new recipes and learn some more. I send you hugs for a cosy weekend.
Joy: Your weekend is really done with lots of joy so there is no need for you to worry. I send you hugs from me too.

Anette Åhnbrink says:
Yes it would be for the candy then, that we come up to the fair...we have not decided yet, but since we miss you on Friday, we probably won't come at all?, party is always fun, remember the husband's 50th birthday, then you were tender, plus there was a snowstorm at night? How long do you think we waited for a taxi on a Saturday night.... week's happy, hopefully the job interview yesterday went well, otherwise it is very close to selling everything and leaving! Have a good Friday cosy and nice weekend both/Anette Å

Mr Steve says:
What a lovely surprise party. I think I recognise Jameson.
So you are a full 3.5 years younger than your brother. A LOT younger!
Have a nice weekend and enjoy approaching 60! There's plenty of fun to be had after that. I promise.

Lena & Jan says:
Fun with celebration in all possible ways even meeting X-one not wrong! Hope the trend of 'talking to each other' not 'about each other' is back! Thank you Peter for our co-idea (woops new word) to throw / ignore all negative media in order not to let it put sordi on your own feelings, let out the joy in yourself in s t. GOOD now we run Friday and weekend! We will cork up a Spanish Cava and enjoy ? ? ?

Peter Bergström says:
Anette Åhnbrink: We remember the good stories and the bad ones, haha. More and more people are leaving and living in a different way. We can't do it yet but we're working on it so we'll see what it will be in a few years. Not everyone can come to everything so we'll have to meet you another time. I thought I would record it on 360 and put it on youtube, so you can see it anyway. Have a nice weekend you two and I send hugs to both.
Steve: Certainly Jameson is a reasonably good whiskey that lasts. I have many years left even if you are on the dead half. 30 more years I had thought and that is my goal so we will see. Sending hugs to you and have a cosy weekend.
Lena & Jan: Wonderfully positive you write and I get happy when I read. We share joy and go into the weekend with a Cava or something else good in good good:-).
Here come the hugs with lots of care.

Husis blog says:
What a nice surprise on his 60th birthday.
The owners have combined their birthdays to celebrate this weekend. The female owner likes to celebrate her son but the male owner is probably too unsocial because he doesn't care about his day at all.
Taking the opportunity to wish you a nice weekend

Peter Bergström says:
Britt-Marie Lundgren: I think you should take your six weeks but continue training throughout your life. When you are 60+, the muscles atrophy very quickly and since we have no cell division in the body, we need to train twice as much as a 40-year-old. When all the cells are used up, we die, but as long as we move, we get a richer life longer. Then we need a splash sometimes, haha. Thank you for telling us and cheer you on. You get some hugs for the weekend as extra warmth.
Rolle & Carina: I hope you enjoy your job and it sounds a bit like that. We don't eat sweets because they don't appeal to us. Wine and cheese are dangerously good. You get a bunch of hugs for the weekend and you have to distribute them yourselves.
Husisblog: Helena and I are 6 days apart and we are not so much into celebrating. We eat a good dinner somewhere in peace and quiet and that's enough. When it comes to even, it's nice to meet some friends that you don't usually meet, and it can be very nice. I send a bunch of hugs to the owners.

Only 30kg of sweets? We have thousands of kg in stock. There will be much more by Easter.

BP says:
Firstly, I want to say that it's fantastic that you all seem to have the right attitude towards your exes. Even if a relationship cracks, you can actually still socialise with each other and have fun - if only for the sake of the children. Big kudos to your family there!
Secondly, I laughed out loud at your thoughts on sweets at fairs. I've actually never thought about it, as I'm so boring that I don't eat sweets (except Dumle and Dajm). Oh, since I don't see these two among your sweets...;-)
Then I also thought that you might have forgotten a giveaway that is very popular at fairs - ballpoint pens. I always think it's so much fun to watch visitors looking around, hoping that no vendor shows up and quickly grabs one or more pens. Check it out next time you go to a fair - free entertainment, I promise:-)
My week has not been shit - not as I can remember anyway;-) I think it was really good with a clean pantry, lots of funny comments on some of my blog posts and that I finally could put my Icebugs back in the shoe cabinet. Optimistic perhaps considering that it snowed just recently;-)

Ruth in Virginia says:
Sounds like you had a great time at your 60th birthday party!
Don't remember my 60th, but was surprised at 80.
It was not in a pub, and we had no after-glow,
but I was entertained by a barbershop quartet. Great fun!
Something nice that happened this week. Njaaa - Oh yes, here we go.
I remember; we raised over $1250 at my flea market on Wednesday and the
835 on Thursday. Going to work this morning too. That's something to be happy about.

Surprise parties are fun, but they require some planning. What matters most to me and what has happened this week is that I have a new right leg that seems to work.

Ama de casa says:
Surely 1960 is a good vintage! The best, actually 🙂 Unfortunately I was born in October though, probably that's why I'm always so grumpy 😉.
Hugs back! 🙂

Peter Bergström says:
Matts Torebring: What a stock you have. I go shopping at Martin Olsson and in March there is the boat show so I will need more. 30kg is really too little, but we won't just be in our stand, so it will probably be enough. If I set up 30kg at once, it will be gone in an hour at most. Here is a teddy bear hug for you Matts and a nice weekend.
BP: I know about pens, and we have lots of pens with our company name Vitexo AB on them, but they don't fit in at the fairs. I'll take a closer look at the next fair and see what everyone is doing, haha. That we have relationships with our exes is about responsibility for the children and how you leave your ex and that we refuse bad relationships, for better or worse.
You seem to be in a good mood and that the week has been good, do not read any newspaper just because then everything goes to the bottom, haha. Here are a bunch of hugs that you should have for being who you are.
Ruth in Virginia: What a great week and I read that you are very happy, and that makes me happy. Thank you for it! I've never heard Tjolittamajken before and I had to read it three times, haha. Sometime you'll have to tell me where it comes from. Don't duck now Ruth because here are lots of hugs that I think you should have for the weekend. Peter
Nils-Åke Hansson: Of course it's nice when it works with the children after all the hard work we've had over the years. It is pure joy and it is noticeable that you are happy. Thank you for sharing and therefore you get a big hug from me for the weekend.
Lars Permlin: Let's keep our fingers crossed that it will continue to work. You sound happy and you write it so your contribution to Happy Friday is rewarded with a big hug from me and a nice weekend.
AMA DE CASA: Haha, fucking bully, NOT. Being born in 1960 is more than enough to qualify you as a cosy person, haha. Wasn't it the case that in October before there was sun, right! it must be, haha. Many hugs from me.
