Mukbang!
- Yes, the word Muk-Bang literally means "eating broadcast" and is just that - a video clip of someone eating food and talking to viewers. You heard it right - a YouTuber eats food while you watch. The idea seems to be a bit like mimicking a communal meal. Originally from South Korea.
The new way to have a car for a day
- DriveNow offers over 300 cars to choose from. For example, travelling to Kungsberget takes about 2 hours and 10 minutes from Stockholm in normal traffic without disruption. For skiing holidays, the more spacious BMW models are recommended.
- In collaboration with DriveNow, Stockholmers can hop in a car and drive to Kungsberget for SEK 1799 - and that includes..:
- Two lift passes worth a total of SEK 720.
Free ski pass for all children under 7 years old
500 km (50 miles) driving
The car for a maximum of 20 hours
The fuel
Travellers
- Have we gone travel crazy? All airlines, cruises and all kinds of travel are breaking huge records in January and February. I understand everyone because travelling is life.

Lena - good for the soul says:
Wow, what a pace you have! From one fair to another. Being at a fair really sucks the life out of you, even if it is fun. I hope you take care of yourself too! <3
/She who had the same pace, but then crashed.
27 February 2017 - 6:14
Peter says:
Hi Lena! 10 days is really tough and fun at the same time. I'm going to take the bulk of all this and I'm moving the office to the fair, so evening jobs are going away. I know you have run into the wall and it's not ok. I myself have stopped many years ago and am more aware of myself. We have to take care of ourselves or you will have to speak up:-).
27 February 2017 - 10:24
Marina says:
Ok, so if I want to go out to eat and have no company, I can find a mukbang on youtube...sounds like a fun meal 😉.
27 February 2017 - 6:50
Peter says:
Haha, as long as you record it. Maybe an idea I'll pick up. mukbang...Just the name is funny, haha.
27 February 2017 - 10:25
Dessan says:
Wow, how good you are and do you have time for everything? The thing about going out on the lake does not suit me ... I'm a little afraid of the lake ?. Hope it will be fun for you ?Hugs from us?
27 February 2017 - 7:23
Peter says:
You should come and visit us with Kjell and we can only hope that there is no storm then, because it can really rock here. We are moored in the jetty so it's probably different from a small boat. I want to do something crazy and it will come. Hugs to you both.
27 February 2017 - 10:28
Across the board says:
Boats are the perfect, ultimate freedom. Casting off and puttering/sailing out to some hillside and sitting there enjoying the sun and waves. Fantastic. It's something EVERYONE should do!
27 February 2017 - 7:25
Peter says:
Having grown up a lot in the archipelago, I understand what you mean. It is part of me to be at sea and I love it.
27 February 2017 - 10:31
Across the board says:
.... and there will be fewer motorhomes on the roads hihi.....
27 February 2017 - 14:15
Peter says:
Haha, but we don't want that, do we? We can exchange cars for motorhomes so everyone can enjoy nature and those who do not want can go to sea:-)
27 February 2017 - 19:54
åsa in åsele says:
Boat shows are not for me, I get seasick on a pier 😉 and I have the worst "boat phobia/fear of drowning nightmare" 🙁 .
It's crazy, I know, but there it is.
Vildmarksmässa, yes... it's more my thing 🙂 or yes it was before I got sick. I actually have a hunting degree and hunted with my dog, yes the one I had then when I was healthy & normal 😉.
I have been following my father out since I was a kid 🙂 .
Have a nice Monday, take care of each other <3
27 February 2017 - 7:45
Peter says:
You're probably more of a tiger that enjoys having its paws on solid ground and chasing Åsa. I do not think it is strange to live with nightmares about different things and if you do not feel comfortable with water, you jump on it. Have a nice day, Åsa.
27 February 2017 - 10:34
Ama de casa says:
But what fun that you can follow there on the boat! How cool as ever! 🙂
A lot going on - as always 🙂
27 February 2017 - 9:20
Peter says:
We get several proposals every week and some are impossible to say no to. I am very much looking forward to the sailing trip and what a beautiful boat. I just have to keep my fingers crossed for good weather.
27 February 2017 - 10:37
JoY says:
What a beautiful boat you will be sailing on, I'm a bit jealous.
My friend Magnus Reslow is lecturing there on 6/3 at 15,30, "11000 nautical miles".
Hugs
27 February 2017 - 9:35
Peter says:
It's great that you say that and I will listen to Magnus. My days will probably go very fast because there are things every hour and there will be lots to write about. Hugs.
27 February 2017 - 10:39
Ditte says:
We have visited the boat show for many years when we had our own sailboat and it has always been fun with both seminars and exhibitions and some new stuff to look at and not least the sailboats that we have been interested in. Saw that we got tickets so maybe it will be a look even this year.
Glad that you are going to sail with Gratia because sailing is really wonderful and hope for good wind for you when the time comes. There are some sails to put on her.
And yes, travelling is part of life, so I can understand that records are being broken.
27 February 2017 - 10:22
Peter says:
I hope to see you at the fair to have a chat. I can also understand that experiences are the big thing in life, but is there any amount of money? We are talking increases with 20%! I think we travel blogs are becoming a little more popular and we may need a boost. Hugs.
27 February 2017 - 10:43
BP says:
Stuck on Mukbang of course. Reading blogs is very general education, I must say, you always learn something new. Oh me who is raised not to talk with food in my mouth;-)
Fun with a sailing trip on Gratia. It will be exciting to follow you. Assume that there is wifi on board;-)
Otherwise, however, sailing and wilderness are not really our thing.
27 February 2017 - 14:04
Peter says:
Nowadays everything is allowed apparently. I have the same upbringing but we are kind of used up, but the younger ones need us anyway, haha. the sailing trip is around Stockholm so our internet should work, otherwise there will be panic.

Ruth in Virginia says:
Apart from 10 days on the Atlantic Ocean in 1951, I have only been
on water in oaks and canoes. - The husband, me and two almost
adult children went on a 5-day canoe camping trip in the
Ontario's Lake District. We paddled on three lakes with
portage in between; hard work. You had to set up camp almost
anywhere. The only people we met were the Park Police
who drove around and made sure everything was OK. Great holiday!
Oh, yes, I went water skiing ONCE. 🙂
27 February 2017 - 17:18
Peter says:
Hi Ruth. I hope all is well with you! Your journey sounds absolutely magical in that nature. I want to too, but there's a lot I want to do. Oh, and water skiing doesn't sound like a big deal if you don't have the skills for it, so I wonder how it went? Hugs from me.
27 February 2017 - 20:00
Matts Torebring says:
My top three reasons not to get a boat!
1. For 27 years with a caravan, I have laughed (but only to myself) at everyone who can't back up their caravan. I have promised myself that no one will stand and laugh at me because I can't enter a bridge.
2. I am afraid of all the rocks and stones ten centimetres below the surface of the water.
3. I also don't like being on the sea when the wind is blowing 20 m/s
27 February 2017 - 18:34
Peter says:
I don't think you are alone in your thinking Matts. You can get very hurt underwater, and if we're talking about 20 s/m on the open sea, that's really bad on a boat. I myself have driven a small motorboat in 15 second metres and you're not tough in the Baltic Sea. You should probably keep laughing. I've never had any problems reversing with a trailer, because I understand how it works.
27 February 2017 - 21:13
Britt-Marie Lundgren says:
What a wonderful experience to go on a sailing ship! We are not boat people even though I have spent almost 20 summers in Kungshamn. Kayaking, on the other hand, is more of a nature experience. Vildmarksmässan attracts instead and especially the opportunity to hear some cool lecturers share their experiences. Now we managed to get a couple of Stockholm days in between all the fairs. We will follow you there instead. That's life!
27 February 2017 - 20:13
Peter says:
We will do everything we can to give you a fun and informative experience at the fair. Helena and I really enjoy kayaking and it's a great way to get around. We'll have to meet up some other time and we look forward to it.

LinizTravel says:
Exciting m
Lots of fairs! Hugs
28 February 2017 - 8:10
Peter says:
Right Lina! There will be lots of fun reports and a lot of 360 photos. Maybe the Vildmarksmässan could be something for the family?
