In collaboration with Smartbuyglasses
This sunglasses thing, guys. I mean, I love sunglasses. Not so much because I think I look good in them, but because they are so incredibly restful for my eyes. I get migraines easily from strong sun, and it's really nice to crawl in behind a pair of dark, protective glasses.
However, I find it difficult to choose good-looking sunglasses. When you look back in the "photo albums" you can also realise that you have succeeded better and worse over the years ...
Elevator and diss
I thought you could help us out a bit here! With the help of some historical photos from various holidays, you'll help us choose 1) the best looking sunglasses and 2) the biggest disaster. Let's start with Peter! He likes sunglasses and usually has a bunch lying around. But which ones should he choose? And which ones should he really leave in the glove compartment/office drawer?
Let's move on to me then. I probably need to buy new sunglasses this spring, so I could use some tips (and warnings!). I usually run around a lot of shops in holiday resorts, panicking that I can't find a good model, while sweating and thinking "I can't spend all day shopping for sunglasses".
Buying sunglasses online
Another option is actually to buy sunglasses online. At SmartBuyGlasses There are lots of different models and you can look around at your leisure, without feeling stressed. You can actually "test" the glasses on a virtual model or on your own uploaded photo. For example, I find that these sunglasses look good in the picture. Have you ever tried to buy sunglasses online or would you like to?
Anyway, now it's time for the lift and diss! Which model should I look for?
Anette says:
I think Peter should avoid numbers 1, 3, 4 and 6.
Nos. 2 and 5 suit him best?
You look good in all of them but 4 and 6 are still missing. You are not visible and that is a shame?
02 March 2017 - 6:49
Helena says:
What fun to hear what everyone thinks! 🙂 Most people seem to like the 2 and 5 on Peter, so they are probably his model. Number 6 for my part was a bit funny, but I have not used them so much ... 😉 .

Lennart says:
I have had glasses that darken in sunlight for as long as I can remember/have had glasses.
02 March 2017 - 7:13
Helena says:
It seems easy! But do they protect against UV light?
02 March 2017 - 19:00
Across the board says:
I think No. 1 is best for Peter. No. 3 makes him look a bit like Per Gessle.
No 1 for you as the colour of the frame suits you very well. Our oldest daughter is sunglasses crazy, she had over 30 pairs last time she counted ....
02 March 2017 - 7:34
Helena says:
It's not the first time someone thinks Peter looks like Per Gessle actually 😉.
02 March 2017 - 19:00
Mr Steve says:
Not so easy as I am also affected by clothing, hairstyle and environment. But ok then, 5 fits best on Peter and 1 on you.
Glasses are history as far as I'm concerned, but I used to have a pair of black Ray-Bans in a model that I fell in love with and wore for two decades. When I bought new ones it was the same model... I even have the last ones left.
02 March 2017 - 8:19
Helena says:
Yes, that's right, you are influenced by your hairstyle and clothing! Perfect to find a model that you like and can wear year after year. I could also do that! 🙂
02 March 2017 - 19:01
åsa in åsele says:
OMG so fun to see so many different pictures of you 🙂 .
Sunglasses are not my thing... I have a hard time using them,
completely crazy... but I sit and squint, can't see anything... but yes, I choose it over sunglasses, even when I drive a car and should actually use them.
I'll see what advice you get and maybe spring 2017 will be the year when I buy sunglasses 🙂.
Right now I've got "Behind my sunglasses".
I can be myself.
Everything becomes so beautiful through,
through my sunglasses." on the brain 😀
02 March 2017 - 8:26
Helena says:
It was fun to look for the pictures too! And maybe even more fun to read your comments 🙂 I do not understand how you can stand without sunglasses! I think it's really hard when you have to squint ....!

Aila says:
I like Peter in 5 and 6 and Helena in 3 and 5.
02 March 2017 - 9:13
Helena says:
So very interesting to get everyone's votes! Maybe we will be super good at shopping for sunglasses in the future 😉.

Emma, sun like sun? says:
Firstly, sunglasses are very important! They're not just an accessory, they're there to protect your eyes. My optician here in Spain said that if there is a family history of cataracts, the risk of accelerating the process if you don't wear sunglasses. Of course, they should be of good quality, not just dark plastic because then the eye is fooled and it becomes even worse.
The second is that we usually have glasses that are too small and "cool", they should preferably cover the sides as well. This becomes even more important when there is a lot of sun and reflections from all directions, not just from above (in water and snow, for example).
And then the third thing. The aesthetics, what you really asked for. I think no. 5 for each. Taking into account the coverage, No. 3 for Peter is the best while 1 and 4 seem to be better for you.
I ALWAYS wear sunglasses, it seems, even in Sweden. I am extremely sensitive to light with large pupils. Sharpened sunglasses were one of the best things I got, followed by reading sunglasses. At home, I have a bunch of different ones by the door to the garden, depending on what I'm doing.
That's what I think.
02 March 2017 - 9:38
Helena says:
Good and important aspect to protect the eyes! For me it's also about protecting my head. But too much sun gives me a headache! I hadn't realised that they should be a bit bigger, but it makes sense.
02 March 2017 - 19:05
Ama de casa says:
Lovely pictures of you! But I who do not have any style at all do not care to give any opinion 🙂
I myself have sharpened, aggressive (progressive I think it's really called) sunglasses. It makes me at least look good, without necessarily looking good 😉.
02 March 2017 - 9:56
Helena says:
Aggressive!? Haha! I should really also have sharpened sunglasses because I see poorly, but when I have sunglasses, I kind of accept that I can slide around in a bit of semi-darkness 😉.
02 March 2017 - 19:07
Mr Nils-Åke Hansson says:
Since I wear glasses, I have surface-mounted sunglasses. For me the absolute best.
02 March 2017 - 9:58
Helena says:
That seems smart! Maybe I should do that too...
02 March 2017 - 19:07
Ditte says:
Several pairs of sunglasses are fun to have and for Peter's part I think no. 5. I like the Ray Ban piece and I have some of them. For Helena's part, I think mostly on No. 1. It is important that the sunglasses also cover a little on the side so that the sunlight does not come in directly from there.
I have special ones when I'm at sea or skiing - then I want even more coverage from the sides.
02 March 2017 - 10:10
Helena says:
When we go skiing, I have those ski goggles with a strap around my head. Nice to ride with! But last time mine fogged up again, and it wasn't practical ...
02 March 2017 - 19:08
Mr Frank Olsen says:
No. 5 or 6 on Peter, certainly not No. 4.
No. 3 on you Helena, certainly not No. 1, 2 and 4.
02 March 2017 - 12:44
Helena says:
I agree with number 5 or 6 on Peter. Number 4 was a bit "funny thing" 😉 On me it is more difficult! Everyone seems to think differently ... 😉 😉.
02 March 2017 - 19:10
Ruth in Virginia says:
Definitely 6 for Peter; 1 for Helena.
Sunglasses with white frames make you look like an owl. 🙂
I have a pair I found at my flea market, good brand (I think).
02 March 2017 - 13:49
Helena says:
Perfect to find a good pair of sunglasses at a flea market!
02 March 2017 - 19:10
BP says:
Hahaha! Choosing glasses for Peter was very easy, much more difficult with you I can say...
Peter: Lifts 2 and 5
Diss: 1
You: A very doubtful Elevator 6
Diss: 5
I've never shopped for glasses online, but I know a lot of people do. I use clip-ons for reading glasses and wear RayBan pilot glasses for long term use.
02 March 2017 - 18:10
Helena says:
Yes, but isn't it? Most people also seem to have similar opinions about Peter's glasses, about mine it seems to be a bit more divided... I'm telling you I find it difficult! 😉
02 March 2017 - 19:12
Caroline says:
Yes now soon the time of sunglasses begins, spring sun and a lot of delights 🙂 .
2 and 5 suit Peter best.
1 and 3 suit you best.
02 March 2017 - 18:13
Helena says:
Yes, today it was actually spring in the air! 🙂
02 March 2017 - 19:13
Lena - good for the soul says:
Hehe, funny post!
Peter - lift 2 & 5, diss 1
Helena - lift 3 & 5, diss 2
But it is very difficult. You are so influenced by hairstyle and clothing. Good luck in your continued search for the perfect sunglasses. Personally, I wear classic aviators from RayBan.
Hug Lena
02 March 2017 - 18:23
Helena says:
It was fun to write this post too! 🙂 And we have become a little wiser too! At least when it comes to Peter's choice. When it comes to my sunglasses, opinions seem to differ a little more 😉 .
02 March 2017 - 19:14
Matts Torebring says:
I don't want to vote, I think you should wear the ones you feel most comfortable in, without worrying about the rest of us, what we think. I have to wear my regular glasses underneath and put a pair of sunglasses on top, otherwise I am a traffic hazard.
02 March 2017 - 18:43
Helena says:
It's probably good to put sunglasses over the real ones. I haven't quite got round to it yet, but maybe in the future! 😉
02 March 2017 - 19:16
Husis blog says:
Always difficult to say what other people should like or not like. Glasses shapes, dark, lighter etc depend on so much so hard to give advice.
Both owners bought their latest frames from smartbuyglasses and it was both affordable and convenient.

Deciree says:
I think you are nice in all actually. But Peter I think I fit best in Nr: 2,5,6..if I now have to choose :)) Helena fits best in no.: 4,5 then you are delicious in no. 6:) As I said, you are nice in all bows and you fit in all. But against the sun's rays, you should probably have good protection for the eyes and not just..nice :)) Good if you can combine then instead ... both good and stylish:))
02 March 2017 - 21:22
Helena says:
So much fun to hear! I have always found it super difficult to choose ... And of course - that they protect against the sun is important! 🙂
03 March 2017 - 19:40
BP says:
Answer: You are absolutely right! It is not clear on their website where the restaurant is located. Urdåligt!!! But if you google "Vietnam Garden Stockholm" you will at least get the address. Upplandsgatan 51, 113 28 Stockholm. Oooops. Will tell them next week that they missed posting the address under "Contact".
02 March 2017 - 23:55
Helena says:
Haha, yes it is a bit stupid (to say the least) to advertise yourself with a website - and then not tell you where you are!!!! 😉
03 March 2017 - 19:41
Motorhome Helge says:
Finally, after seeing what everyone else likes, I say: 5 to Peter and 3 to you Helena.
03 March 2017 - 8:35
Helena says:
I haven't actually had those little sunglasses for a long time, but maybe I'll consider it 😉 It's been very fun to hear what everyone thinks about this "important" issue, haha 🙂.
03 March 2017 - 19:43
Biggeros says:
Behind my sunglasses I can be myself....
Anders: Absolutely not 3 and 4
Helena: Absolutely not 2 and 4
Fortunately, tastes are different=)
I would never have dared to order glasses online. For me, it takes time to decide which ones fit. Must be tried with devotion?
03 March 2017 - 14:36
Helena says:
Haha, Peter got a new name today I hear ... 😉 But I know how it is, I always say the wrong thing to everyone! 😉 I also think it is difficult to buy sunglasses, although I think it is at least as difficult in a shop, I think, where I get stressed ... 😉 But it is not easy!
