Brunch at Hobo hotel in Stockholm

We've tried brunch at the Hobo Hotel. Last Saturday, after the big event at the Sheraton hotel In Stockholm, a small group of bloggers met for brunch at the new design hotel Hobo Hotel on Brunkebergs torg. We met some of our best travel blogger friends and at the same time could enjoy really good food in the sun on Hobo's relaxed outdoor terrace.

Brunch at Hobo hotel in the sun

The weather on Saturday was great and we enjoyed the brunch in the sun outside the Hobo hotel. I chose scrambled eggs with cold smoked salmon and buttered toast (115 SEK). Very good indeed! Peter chose a prawn sandwich with avocado, cress and horseradish (165 SEK). It did not look stupid either if you say so!

Hobo Hotel

Hobo hotel is one of those nice design hotels that is cosy and slightly cool rather than exclusive. In the lobby there are plenty of green plants and furniture in different colours for relaxed hanging out. At the top of the building is the sister restaurant TAK, with a 1000 square metre roof terrace and a Nordic-Japanese menu.

Brunkeberg square

Brunkeberg Square in Stockholm was a fashionable neighbourhood in the 19th century, but later most of it was demolished and replaced by banks and other large companies. Now Brunkeberg Square is becoming hip again, with hotels, restaurants and people.

Who are the bloggers?

The bloggers we brunched with are some of our best friends. They also have, in our opinion, some of the best travel logs in Sweden. So, aren't we competitors then? No, mainly not. We have slightly different angles when we write, and we help each other!

Christian driver Food and travel blog, which is about travelling with a strong focus on food and restaurants. Lisa writes Life from the bright sideabout travelling with children and active days with a twist. Daniel has the blog Dryden - Traveler's editionand writes in her own unique way about air travel, training and destinations around the world. Last but not least we have Lina, who on her blog Liniz Travel & Lifestyle, shares her experience as a flight attendant and traveller with young children. Nice to have brunch at Hobo Hotel together!
