Ok, here we go! The week has been crazy and the sea is storming. The next workshop Iveco has fixed two errors out of four on the motorhome, and they do not intend to help me further with the rear view camera, and that the battery does not charge with cable, yes, life plays, haha.
Well, I'm going to enjoy the fact that it's "Happy Friday" and I have received several good tips from you readers and I'll fix it myself. Now over to the fun crazy and I will tell you about three events on the same day, and that we are in a book. Fun huh? It's a positive day! Follow along!
Table of contents
smooth
My eyes are spinning like rat dicks in my head (is that possible?) and I'm just as crazy about everything that happens and very happy with myself. You see someone from a mental hospital laughing, yes, just like that, haha. I usually say that it's a crazy world and to fit in, you need to be a little crazy yourself. How crazy?
The fun part
My son and his wife, Robin and Alexandra, came and surprised us on Saturday and told us that you'd stop working on the computers! There was good food, bubbles, wine, whiskey and long discussions until five o'clock on Sunday morning. A heavy cold jumped on me when the immune system went to the bottom, but you have to take it. TREOOOOOOOO fixes my week!
Monday
Meeting with a journalist and on to the Georgian embassy because they wanted to present all the wonderful places of Georgia. Wow, what a country! It feels a bit like Austria but more genuine. We can come whenever we want and they fix everything, but how will we have time?
Tuesday and three events on the same day
Pop House Stockholm
We start with the ABBA Museum at 11.30am which has a new manager and new chefs. Fantastic different appetisers with chèvre, roe and Italian ham in all sorts of combinations and champagne. Here it was Taittinger which is the big thing.
Then we sat down and there was a wonderful 5 course tasting menu that will be served at the ABBA museum in the future 365 days a year. I have never seen so many different Taittinger and now I have drunk all the varieties. I don't know how many glasses were on the table, haha. Tapppppadeee counting.
Georgia
Shit! It's 2.30pm... Time for the next one. Georgia has a party at the Historical Museum. Not too far from Djurgården near Karlavägen. Good wines and Georgian specialities. New mingle, more wine, new contacts, exchange of business cards, more wine, new stories. Shit! It's 16.00 and I'm meeting Shelena at Dramaten in Stockholm at 17.00 for the nextaaa.
Silja line
Now you start to feel alive, right? Off to the next event at the beautiful Dramaten at Nybrokajen. Here I come, haha. Hi Shelena, how shnygg you are!!! Silja Line 60 years and straight into the crowd with a glass of bubbly directly in your hand. Yep, here we go again! New mingle and delicious food from Tommy Myllymäki himself on site with his team. He has composed dishes that Silja Line will make on their boats and it was delicious. Nicely arranged and lovely people in place.
But what the heck, the alarm clock is ringing but it's seven o'clock? In the evening! SEVEN, I'm not seven, I'm almost fifty-seven... We left at eight and went straight home to bed. Now it really hit me hard and I had a fever of 40 degrees all night and I was grinding my teeth and coughing. As you make your bed, you get to lie in it, haha, but I'm alive.
Wednesday
It took me five hours to come back to life. Up at six, an hour and a half walk, home and slept two hours. Writing posts, replying to posts, talking to insurance companies, filling out forms for accounts for Wismar, answering 40 emails, replying and posting on Instagram and Facebook, lots of video to be made, shopping and cleaning for a journalist to come for dinner.
Elisabet Axås, a freelance journalist who has written for "Allt om resor" on Expressen, is coming to dinner and she has written the book "Mitt Kroatien". She has been in Croatia for many months and it is out now. We are included as experts on camping in Croatia in the book and what an honour. Thank you for the trust and request. We are so happy!
Thursday
New Treo and breakfast. It takes a little longer when you're sick, but it can be done! Just stay positive. Treo and coffee are working. New emails, new lovely comments on the blog, new phone calls from a new workshop that cannot handle a motorhome, haha, they are pathetic!
Another lovely meeting with Anders (new manager) from the magazine Caravan and camping. Lovely with positive people and we took it at the Mall of Scandinavia and we pushed sushi on the conveyor belt, yep! They came on tape and it was a buffet so eat as much as you want. We probably pulled about 20 plates each, haha. We discussed the collaboration between the magazine and FREEDOMtravel.
Thursday afternoon
Just travelling around in rental cars, trains and buses for hours and being late to pick up the camper van because it was closed is a whole different story. I am a happy bastard and will continue to be so. Someone should laugh in the face of the devil!
I want to tell you this because some people feel bad mentally, or physically, or have a hard time with other things in life. We are fortunate to live here in Sweden, and when things have been hard, we come out of it in a rural society. Be happy!!!
Don't forget!
I or anyone else reading this blog is not made of steel, so pick your favourite memories of the week and they can be as small as you like, but we share the positives. Many hugs on our shared Friday.

Peter says:
I usually follow your blog with pleasure, but the story with the motorhome has according to me a ridiculous shine over it. To have a motorhome delivered to a regular workshop and not lift a finger to make sure that they winterise it and then put all the blame on them is in my opinion very strange, not least when many of the problems seem to be related to non-originally mounted odd components. to then call workshops pathetic because they may not want to take on 10-year-old retrofitted equipment sounds very silly to me....
02 June 2017 - 8:39
Peter says:
Hi Peter! Let's take it from the beginning. The car had an emergency fire in the wiring on the motorway, and since we had all the lights on to protect the car from crashing into other vehicles. The battery was completely dead and we arrived at the workshop at midnight. It was closed and the tow truck left the motorhome outside. According to insurance companies, in an emergency situation, workshops should know how to handle a motorhome if they have that service with a towing company. "We didn't choose to go there ourselves because then it's our problem to look after the car beforehand if it's cold. We wanted to tow it to Husbilslandet but it would cost us 3000 SEK more privately on site. An insurance investigator called us in November and said that it is not possible on the insurance and that the car will soon be ready. Soon it was another 6 months and the whole winter. I assumed from the conversations I had had to open cranes and disconnect the positive cable from the battery, which is quite basic when it comes to a motorhome if you do not get it ready. They disconnected the living room battery in March so they probably know, but maybe they forgot? Doing these things is not to save some things that I have assembled myself, but to be afraid and care about someone else's property that is sensitive to the cold. Now I have ordered work on an Iveco in Stockholm, but they don't want to take in the reversing camera or the charge from the electric cable that doesn't work. It's nothing that I have retrofitted because this is done from the beginning. They said yes to the work from the beginning but have backed out. Of course, they have electrical experts on site and they should be able to find an electrical fault faster than me. To say that we don't touch it is a mystery to me, and I was told that on the phone yesterday. I will provide more info this week. Have a nice weekend Peter.
02 June 2017 - 11:41
Peter says:
Hello again!
I probably sounded more negative than I meant to be in the first post, but I still think a little communication would have solved a lot, personally I wouldn't have let it go so easily without talking to the workshop in question to make sure the car is "winterised"
Even if a reversing camera was on the car from the beginning, it is still quite far from the original equipment and unless the fault is quite obvious, it will not be justifiable to try to repair the stuff compared to installing new equipment and perhaps using the old wiring.
Are there also problems with charging the habitation battery from shore power?
I look forward to the continuation!
Nice weekend! (Now I will go home from work and go out with the motorhome Friday-Tuesday and Thursday-Sunday next week!)
02 June 2017 - 15:12
Peter says:
Hello Peter! You can absolutely be negative whenever you want. Nobody is perfect and neither am I. Maybe I was a bit too harsh but I am so tired of people who don't care. You should only do what you are employed to do and nothing more. A little feeling for what you are doing and a little service-mindedness is not available today. The problem with the reversing light is somewhere in the engine compartment which has happened after a fire and short circuit. The camera starts when I put the car in reverse. There is nothing wrong with the camera. There is a sensor in the block and it is also intact. There is a fault between the sensor and the gear lever. The next problem is that there is a fault in the charging only from shore power. When the body batteries are full, it should automatically go over and charge the starter battery but this does not happen. normal charging from driving is no problem. These are things that have happened from the fire and the short circuit. I need to get it to a place where they sell and workshop motorhomes. I will look at it myself first. Take care Peter.

Role o Carina says:
Oh what a race you are running and with a cold too, Puuhhh!
Unwind a little before the weekend, promise!
Happy Pentecost and enjoy it now ..... Hugs from us!

Peter says:
Hello there! The hardest thing is that there are so many different things going on all the time. 100 balls in the air at the same time and we have to be everywhere. We hardly dare say no because there are always new contacts to make. Our plan is to one day have both of us working on the blog to be able to write more about travel every day. A normal startup company has several people working on different things, but I'm alone and it feels like it from time to time. We really have two choices and that is that I go out and work as usual again, or that we invest 100 % and try to make this profitable. We don't care for 24 hours if we don't make a lot of money, as long as we're going around. That's the lifestyle we want. Happy weekend to you both.

Goatfish says:
Wow, that sounded like a lot at once! 😀 For active me, that sounds like TOO much 😀.
I've had a mixed bag. Churchwarden, friends' outing, funeral, fellowship?
Hugs and Happy Whitsun ?
02 June 2017 - 10:19
Peter says:
We have a bit much but it's good for you. I believe in being involved in something when you get a little older and you are doing the right thing. Warm hugs from me.
02 June 2017 - 11:52
Ama de casa says:
Haha! It's all about being in... Nice to do three events on the same day 🙂 ...
Here, my to-do list can consist of one item per day. For example, it could be:
- Go to the post office.
If there is more stuff, I get a little tired... 😉.
Hope it works out with Freedom! And I'm sure it will, now that you've found such a good repairer 😀.
Have a great Friday!
02 June 2017 - 10:33
Peter says:
Haha! Some retirees only plan one thing a day but you're not there yet, so get out of the pit. I am very grateful to get such nice invitations but I have to learn to say no sometimes. It's not in my nature because hard work should pay off. The car who knows how it will go. I think I will have to solve it myself. Warm hugs for the weekend.
02 June 2017 - 11:57
Dessan says:
Take it easy friends with your colds. Not fun to work a lot and be sick. Feel better and hope the motorhome also gets some help. Hugs from Prague ?
02 June 2017 - 11:06
Peter says:
You really have a wonderful time in Prague, I heard yesterday. The Czech Republic is a wonderful country and it will be fun to go there this summer. We will try to get better and we really hope that it will go away within a week. Warm hugs from me.

Mr Steve says:
Wow, what a pace. But, why not "jump on the train" when there are such opportunities.
Georgia seems to be an exciting country. I saw a travelogue in Österled on TV some time ago and was somewhat enchanted by the journey through Georgia.
My biggest effort this week was a day's work with D in the garden.
I even woke up with training pains the next day. But, that's about what my body can handle now. It was nice in any case. Happy Pentecost!
02 June 2017 - 13:53
Peter says:
Oh, how late I am, but nice answers. I will cut down on my posts because I don't have time for them. I'm still happy with you Steve that you can be out and a little exercise is probably good for you. There are many muscles that need to be active in order not to wither away. Of course we want to see Georgia and it is very high on the list. We are betting on skiing for the winter in Georgia. Have a nice weekend and stay healthy.

Ruth in Virginia says:
"My candle burns at both ends
It will not last the night,
but, ah, my foes, and oh, my frinds
it gives a lovely light."
-Edna St Vincent Millay
02 June 2017 - 15:13
Peter says:
Thank you Ruth! It warms with such thoughts from you. I apologise for the late reply, and I have too much around me to organise all the time. what has become difficult is that there are 100 different balls in the air all the time. We run a whole magazine from start to finish, but that's the small part of it all. The photo voting is almost over and Helena takes over freedomtravelnews on Mondays, and I keep Happy Friday. I think this is great fun but I can't be everywhere, so now we want to focus on the right things. Joy is the most important thing on the blog and we are also struggling to get Helena free from work. We love travelling and we become like two little kids, and we want to do it full time. We are struggling and we are adjusting everyday life so everything will be smoother. thank you again for your thoughts Ruth. They are warm and empowering. Many hugs.

Marina says:
Oh oh oh... I just read and got sweaty just from that! Now I won't need any more exercise today 😉 Have a great weekend (and don't forget to breathe a little sometimes!) Great fun with the book by the way 🙂 ).
02 June 2017 - 16:53
Peter says:
Thank you, Marina. Full on unconscious. Two great books in one week and a wedding anniversary today. I apologise for the late reply and what luck that we have a long weekend so I can wish you a continued nice weekend. Warm hugs from me.

Lena - good for the soul says:
It is so crazy wonderful when you are in such a rush that you grab everything. I know! Hope you / you do not end up where I ended up just! Take care of yourselves!
Hug Lena
02 June 2017 - 18:07
Peter says:
I'll be careful not to end up there. We're rethinking a bit and streamlining the blog, so I have more time for everything else. I want to write but I don't have the time. Filming takes an enormous amount of time but is very fun, then I need time for all other contact with the host. this will be good. Hugs from me.
04 June 2017 - 12:40
Kenneth Risberg says:
You are doing well Peter, haha.
Go to events, drink fine bubbly and eat good food several times a day. But if it would feel at least a little exhausting, I can help sometime, then you do not have to drink so much and do not have to taste all the food, I can help with that, hehe.
Sorry about the motorhome and cold but it will work out in a good way!!!!
02 June 2017 - 18:13
Peter says:
Haha, Kenneth! I'm lucky to have the chance to do all this, and I'm getting myself into a bit of trouble. A sawyer always gets into trouble, haha. I can easily get into everything and get too much and it's the same with bubbles. I spit out something because it's good. It will be good and sometimes you are down and turn and then up out of the pit in 100 knocks. Have a nice weekend and I apologise for the late reply.

Britt-Marie Lundgren says:
Friday again and we have had a wonderful motorhome week on Gotland. Gets a little dull when I hear your schedule for the week, but understands you exactly! Was also like that when a real cold broke out, thought it was not soooo dangerous, when the weekend came I was a bit at anchor, but when I came to the doctor on Monday I had a double-sided pneumonia that took three months to get really free from. After that, I don't play with infections. Photographed an old enamel sign today with the text: "Do not rush- sit my friend.
Forgotten rest you will not get again"
Get well soon!
02 June 2017 - 18:52
Peter says:
Wise words that are a luxury. You forget yourself sometimes and don't give your body a luxurious rest. Time is a luxury. This damn cold has been very heavy. We are so tired all the time and push ourselves a little extra to keep up. Difficult situation. Now it is sunny and we will take the time to sit on the foredeck and soak up the summer. Hugs to you.
04 June 2017 - 12:47
Matts Torebring says:
I think I've also had a crazy week, just full of meetings, travelling, "training". But you, Peter, are completely crazy! No, I'm just joking. You are full of energy! Just like me, until a few years ago. Now I'm almost down to 50 hours a week.
But as I said, it's "Happy Friday". I feel overjoyed tonight, that my new "friends place" is taking shape. My "new garden" will be so delicious.
02 June 2017 - 19:28
Peter says:
Ahhh, how wonderful to hear. We will visit it. I think we are both a bit crazy to do so much all the time. We do not create it because it comes flying at us, haha. Well, we create a little:-). I also want to go down to 50 hours but it will come in a few years. hugs to you Matts.
04 June 2017 - 12:50
Travel Friday says:
Saw you in the book this week, super fun!
02 June 2017 - 19:43
Peter says:
Hello there Annika! Books are a little extra and they exist forever, which is nice. Nice to be able to review a nice book about something that is very popular. Have a nice weekend and thank you for writing.
04 June 2017 - 12:52
BP says:
If you/you like this pace, just go for it. Oh honestly - for squid and scallops, I would probably also have stressed;-) Oh "freebees" are always fun, even if I feel a little sorry for poor Helena who has to work while you mingle with Taittinger;-)
I had to Google Georgia, as I wasn't sure where exactly the country was located. Now I know it too.
My week was alright, but nowhere near your adventures. Oh I'm quite happy that I don't have a motorhome. This is said by me who also has the car in the workshop right now;-)
02 June 2017 - 21:39
Peter says:
I know I am spoilt, but there is a lot of work after too. I have made a film from POP HOUSE and films on Instagram. All this takes a huge amount of time for a three-hour meeting and bubbly. A day is lost for the after work of photos and editing. We would need more people around our blog. Cars are like computers... When they run it's wonderful and when they fuss, well... We are trying Georgia with skis and it seems to be super cosy. Have a continued nice weekend and I apologise for the late reply.
04 June 2017 - 13:00
Marianne - Glimpses of the world says:
Georgia is one of my favourite countries! 🙂 Cool that you got to be in the Croatia book!
02 June 2017 - 23:21
Peter says:
It sounds like a dream to us! We really want to go to Georgia and we're going somehow. We are lucky to get the attention we do, but now we need more people around the blog. Two more wouldn't hurt. Many hugs and a wonderful weekend.
04 June 2017 - 13:03
Daniela / Discovering The Planet says:
Sometimes it feels hard not to live in Stockholm when a lot of fun things are happening, like the Georgia event. And sometimes it's lucky. Because how do you say no to all the fun that happens. Or wait, you don't 😉 :). Get well and take care of yourselves. ?
02 June 2017 - 23:28
Peter says:
Haha Daniella. I am a yes man and I do not say no. We are trying to build something for the future and all contacts need to be in it. Georgia is very interesting and we are aiming for winter first and then spring, or just spring when there is snow on the peaks and green in the valleys. Have a nice weekend and say hello. Many hugs from me.
