On Sunday we came home late in the evening (read: night). On Monday morning it was time for me to go to work and for Peter to start with blog work, invoices, meetings and fixing the houseboat. This week has really gone sooo fast. We still have a lot to be happy about! Today there will be another film from Wismar and a report both from our houseboat and from the new commuter train station in Stockholm.
New film
Peter has made another film from our trip to Wismar, and you can watch it here. This time there are mixed film sequences from the boat trip, the campsite, the city and all the people who joined us. In short: Motorhome meeting in Wismar.
Stockholm City - the new commuter train station
This week I visited Södertälje (on business) and had the chance to test the new commuter train station. Stockholm City. The station was inaugurated on 10 July, replacing the old commuter train station at Stockholm Central Station. The platforms are 12 metres under the blue line (previously thought to be deep) and a total of 40-44 metres underground.
My reflection? Really modern and stylish! Where the trains arrive there is now a glass wall with doors that only open when the train has stopped. A joy to ride the commuter train!
At home - with good food
Last but not least, being at home is actually a bit cosy. We love travelling, but we also love our houseboat. Every day when I come home from work, I am happy and grateful that I get to go out on our nice, rocking dock.
When I come home, Peter almost always has dinner ready, and I'm happy and grateful for that too. This week we have eaten lots of fish: lubb in creamy sauce, cod loin with mushrooms and blue cheese, and salmon with cold rum sauce. What is the most positive thing that happened during your week?

I want to be on a roll!

Helena says:
It's never wrong to be on a roll 🙂

Across the board says:
How exciting about Lubb - I have never eaten it (as far as I know) The most fun this week was a spontaneous visit from friends we have never met before 😀.
Have a nice weekend and relax a bit between rounds too.
25 August 2017 - 7:23
Helena says:
The chub is quite strong in the meat and almost a bit like lobster in texture 🙂 Spontaneous visit sounds nice! 🙂
25 August 2017 - 18:10
åsa in åsele says:
My spontaneous comment is that we eat fish too rarely 🙂 .
The new commuter train looks very nice, but it's very far underground.
The week's positive, well, it's that Elin yesterday evening after the first two days says that it's fun to be back at school, that it's actually fun with maths and that it's fun to be with her friends.
25 August 2017 - 7:35
Helena says:
But how nice that she enjoys being back in school! 🙂
25 August 2017 - 18:11
Ama de casa says:
Cool with the new station! However, I have a little difficulty with commuter trains since I experienced the "commuter train misery" in the 80s (yes, I can be a bit long-winded 😉 ).
My week has been as good as it gets, with lots of highlights.
25 August 2017 - 7:43
Helena says:
Haha, well now I think you're a bit long-winded Ama ... 😉 .
25 August 2017 - 18:11
Kenneth Risberg says:
As usual, everything is very professionally done with film and text.
It's good that you got home safely even though it was late for you and that work and everything else is going on. I myself took it easy after an overnight stay in Trelleborg, the guard asked where all the others were.
The plan is to visit the new station next weekend.
So this week has been quiet with washing both clothes and motorhome and some relaxing - nice weekend!!!
25 August 2017 - 8:30
Helena says:
It went well to get home, even if it was a bit of a tough trip,,, Glad that the guard remembered us all and wondered where everyone had gone 😉 So you are going to Stockholm next weekend? As I said, you are very welcome to contact us when you come to town! However, next weekend we go to Barcelona so we are not at home then ...

Mr Steve says:
Another great film by Peter. The drone footage adds an extra dimension to the films.
Commuter trains don't exist in my world so the new station just passes me by.
The most positive thing about the past week is that it has been an ordinary week at Getingstorp. It was topped by D cutting the grass yesterday. The fact that it rained last night did not make things worse.
Have a relaxing and enjoyable weekend in the boat and on your lovely rocking jetty!
25 August 2017 - 8:56
Helena says:
Glad you liked the film! And thank you, we are sitting indoors now, but with an open door and screaming seabirds outside 🙂 .
25 August 2017 - 18:18
Ditte says:
Great film! Great to see it!
Much has happened this week and of mixed compote and the most pleasant has been both a luxurious trip with Birka Paradise with extra of much. Meetings with grandchildren, daughters, friends and outdoor lunches have been extra nice. Planning trips has also been nice.
And of course, the new commuter train stations are great. I probably like Odenplan best. I think the Central stop is too far down....But it's nice and modern there too.
25 August 2017 - 9:51
Helena says:
Nice with a luxury cruise! I have not seen the station at Odenplan yet, it will come 😉.
25 August 2017 - 18:36
Goatfish says:
This was probably the best film you have made, Peter 😀 Very entertaining. It's nice to have a bit of everyday life again, isn't it. And salmon, mmm, I will have tonight 😀.
Now it won't be long before I'm in Germany, waiting...
And my fun this week, the Gospel concert in the church on Wednesday night, SO wonderful to sing in a choir 😀 And I have been given an extended volunteer assignment within the MOD, with things I like. And the weather has been decent. So now we take the weekend, hugs ?
25 August 2017 - 14:26
Helena says:
Oh waow! Now it's me (Helena) who answers, but I have forwarded the praise to Peter 🙂 Salmon sounds good, and also wonderful both with a concert and volunteer work!
25 August 2017 - 20:12
Snows says:
Away good but home best 😉 Here it has been the most tiring work but it was very cosy to meet the oldest daughter!
Have a good Friday!
25 August 2017 - 15:26
Helena says:
Yes, sometimes it is a lot of work... Thank you!
25 August 2017 - 20:12
Annette says:
It all sounds good 🙂 Here it is usually me who cooks, and in the autumn there will be a slight change towards much more vegetable dishes. I like to cook, so it will be fun to try new ideas in the kitchen 🙂 The best thing so far this week is how committed the teachers are to the children's school. There was an invitation before school started - here is a film: https://justnujusthar.com/2017/08/17/inbjudan-till-skolstart-pa-tema-harry-potter/
The school start then began with all students (155, year fk-9) at the school being sorted into student homes by the sorting hat and then there was a camp week on the Harry Potter theme with quidditch and other fun. Congratulations to those who get to go to such a good school 🙂 For me personally, it was very nice to get started with my young horse to be ridden in, I have been dragging on for a long time.
25 August 2017 - 15:37
Helena says:
But oh what a nice school invitation and fun school start! And how exciting it sounds with a young horse to be ridden in! I rode a lot when I was young, but today it is not so often ...

Britt-Marie Lundgren says:
The past week is hard to complain about. A wonderful week in Almerida on Crete where we really charged the batteries with hikes, jeep tours and lots of sun-ripened tomatoes and oranges, along with other good Greek food. Now there is one more week of holiday to fill....
25 August 2017 - 16:17
Helena says:
But oh how wonderful it sounds! Wishing a last nice holiday week then! 🙂
25 August 2017 - 20:15
Husis blog says:
Intensive week you say, don't you always have that?
Nice to see the film, especially as the owners recognised many of the buildings and the square as they had recently been there and walked in the same places.
Besides, it must be perfect to have your own chef...?
25 August 2017 - 18:44
Helena says:
Haha, well kind of ... it belongs to the regularities that it is intense if you say so 😉 Glad you recognised yourself! 🙂
25 August 2017 - 20:16
Matts Torebring says:
Nice film, he is really professional Peter.
25 August 2017 - 18:52
Helena says:
Thank you, I greet you! 🙂

BP says:
With you it's always full speed ahead, so...
I had to google Lubb. Never heard of it, but now I got "more taste" and will ask for it at the local ICA.
I still haven't tried the new commuter train station, but both Ditte and now you have liked it, so I will probably do that too.
The most positive thing about this week for me was that it actually had two sunny (almost cloudless) and warm days to enjoy.
25 August 2017 - 19:23
Helena says:
Haha, yes, the tempo tends to be quite high ... for some reason 😉 Lubb is not bad, white fish that is firm in the flesh.
25 August 2017 - 20:18
Dryden - Traveller's Edition says:
Yes, there is something about coming home. I'm currently longing for an intense long weekend in Belgium. And then standing at Bromma and waiting for a delayed flight is certainly not what I dream of ...

Lena - good for the soul says:
The most positive thing for me this week was a hiking trip with a friend on an ordinary Wednesday evening! A beautiful sunset and great socialising!
