With Stena Line from Rostock - and new travel plans

Last Sunday we travelled with Stena Line from Rostock in Germany to Trelleborg in Sweden. None of the ferries that connect Sweden with Germany or Poland are particularly fun, but we have to say that we think Stena Line is slightly better than the others. Now we're home again - and of course we have to tell you about our upcoming travel plans!

Stena Line from Rostock

The journey from Rostock to Trelleborg takes 6.5 hours, and we can't really say that you have fantastic fun on the ferry. If we compare with the other shipping companies, we still think it's a little better. The restaurant (where you pick up things like chicken legs or schnitzel) has extremely strange opening hours (open-close-open-close according to some incomprehensible algorithm) but the food still tastes a little, a little better than on the other boats.

There is also free WiFi. Not that it works all the time, but it works sometimes, and that alone makes this ferry get a higher rating than the others. On this particular trip, we also happened to be lucky with the weather and could sit for several hours and enjoy the sun!

Film from the trip to Wismar

Now Peter has finally managed to finish a film of the Sweden party in Wismarso you can check it out here! There's another one coming soon, so keep an eye out at YouTube!

Home again

Now we are home again! I often notice that people do not think that we work because we spend so much time on the blog and travelling but I (Helena) work full time in Stockholm County Council. An interesting and good job, but we will not talk about that today. We will talk about travelling!

New travel plans

Of course we have new travel plans coming up! In the beginning of September we are going on a week-long cruise in the Mediterranean with the cruise ship "Freedom of the Seas" from Royal Caribbean. We have never gone on a cruise like this before, so it will be very exciting!

Then, for the first time, we will send Peter as a 'lone envoy' on a trip to CassandraGreece, together with blogger Christian from Food and travel blog. We have been very little in Greece, so it will be interesting!

There will probably also be some shorter Motorhome travel in SwedenAmong other things, we take the opportunity when I go out into the country and give a lecture. So don't miss out on following our blog during the autumn! You can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

We saw this cruise ship in Trapani, Sicily!
