There are plenty of "autumn lists" in the blog world right now. We don't always follow lists, but right now it feels right to try to find the best things about autumn. Feel free to copy the questions and make your own autumn list if you have a blog!
We found this list on the travel blogger's website. Come fly with me. A different kind of autumn list can be found at the travel blogger Other Bites of the World.

I don't really know how to find good autumn pictures, but I like this picture of a deer from last autumn. The picture was taken between Västra skogens metro station and Pampas marinawhere we live.
Describe your upcoming autumn in three words?
Autumn is already here, and it can be described as busy, inspiring and stimulating.
What are your favourite memories from summer 2017?
- When we saw a live wild bison in eastern Poland
- When we cycled mountain biking down the Alps in Zermatt, Switzerland
- When we experienced Schwedenfest in Wismar in Germany
What is the best/worst thing about autumn?
The best thing is all the beautiful colours, the good food and the autumn fun at home in front of the fireplace. The worst part is the darkness and the rain - and being so tired.
How do you decorate for autumn?
We like to watch a good film or TV series at home in the houseboat while the fire is crackling in the stove. Of course, another great way to spend autumn is to take a weekend away in your campervan! What's more cosy than snuggling up in your motorhome while it's raining and windy outside...?
What books are you planning to read this autumn?
I don't have any concrete lesson plans at all, but in the this post I've shared book tips and books I'm keen to read.
Your top 3 autumn tips - all categories?
- Book an autumn weekend - here are 10 tips for exciting weekend cities
- Feast on the good food of autumn: fish, seafood, mushrooms and tasty stews
- Roll away with your campervan and discover new places in Sweden
What does your autumn outfit look like?
Eeeeh ...? We haven't had time to think about clothes for a long time, and when we last went shopping we focused on basics. We go for clothes in grey, black, blue, beige and burgundy - everything can be combined with everything.
Has the school/job start brought any insights?
Well ... that it is difficult to do everything you want to do in life? We have too many ideas going on at the same time and have to prioritise, but maybe that's not what we're best at.
What's on your to-do list right now?
We are busy with the blog, films, business collaborations and my job. In addition to Peter will start practising driving with his youngest son and I will submit a research paper and translate a book. Among other things. And then I will probably start thinking about where I will work after the turn of the year. I haven't been told whether my project position will be made permanent or not.
Any tips on how to cure the autumn blues?
Doing fun things even when you are tired! Exercise. Eat good food with lots of vitamins and minerals. Sleep a lot. Show love to those you love.
What are two new things you want to learn this autumn?
Peter is committed to learning all the new technologies that he has embarked on, including Gimball Osmo and his new film editing software (Wondershare Filmora).
Which series do you recommend following?
Three very different (but good!) series: Game of Thrones, Designated survivor and SKAM.
Which Instagram accounts do you recommend following?
Ours, of course: @freedomtravelnews! Peter follows lots of bloggers and travel bloggers on Instagram, but finds it hard to pick out a few ...
Top three favourite drinks this autumn?
- Coffee (Peter) and tea (Helena)
- White wine (always good with fish - even in autumn)
- Whiskey (warms well!)
Do you have any travel plans for the near future?
This weekend we are travelling to Norrköping and places nearby with the motorhome. Later in October we take the motorhome to Västerås.
How do you prepare for winter?
I have to buy a pair of warm winter boots that not has a crack right through the sole. Warm clothing is the key!

So much fun with the pictures 🙂 immediately autumn felt more inspiring 🙂.
I'm already tired of the rain - almost so I welcome the snow 😉 yes, we haven't got the "white gold" yet, but it feels in the air that winter is lurking around the corner 🙂 .
With snow, it actually gets brighter and cleaner, unless it's slushy, of course.
Here we now have winter tyres on all cars, yes we have a bunch of them 😉.
This is because we live in Norrland and need to be able to get where we are going.
Have a nice Thursday and a lovely weekend <3

Helena says:
I also like snow better than rain, but here in the "south" we have to wait a bit longer for the snow ...

Sometimes autumn can be cosy, it's just a matter of finding the gems (although that's not so easy to do sometimes...).

Annika says:
What a fun idea this is with an Autumn list. I think you will be a little more prepared and like autumn a little more if you make one. Right now it feels a little too boring with this eternal rain. But just like the situation. Now have a nice Friday and weekend. Hugs and kisses
12 October 2017 - 19:34
Helena says:
You are probably a bit right that you see the positive when you are "forced" to pick it out. Not so bad actually! 😉

Matts Torebring says:
We prefer to enjoy the autumn in our motorhome, every moment we get away. Tomorrow, Friday, we leave just half an hour away, more specifically, the parking space at Nässjö Golf Club. (Price only 100:-/night including electricity).
Sometimes I would like to go out and sleep in the campervan in the yard. But what will the neighbours say then? I could perhaps answer that Peter & Helena are sleeping in their boat in the harbour in Stockholm.
12 October 2017 - 19:58
Helena says:
It sounds like a good place to park! And haha, yes say we sleep in the boat! 😉

BP says:
A fun list, where you pick the gems for a season that is otherwise not my favourite. I find it sad that you have not been told whether your project employment is extended. But with your experience you will probably get a job right away:-)
12 October 2017 - 21:14
Helena says:
It's a bit difficult to get a decision on the possible extension of my project employment. My two closest bosses are working hard for it, but they have to get the assignment (and the budget) from higher up.
