In co-operation with Leakomatic
No water damage in your villa, holiday home, property or houseboat - ever. It sounds like a dream to not have to worry about a leaking pipe when you're away from home. Imagine coming home from your holiday to find your basement floor covered in water... Now we never have to worry again!
At the beginning of the summer, we installed a water circuit breaker in the houseboat. We have now been testing it for a few months and are very happy with it. In fact, we're so happy with this device that we've come to an agreement with Leakomatic to become a retailer.

5 drops - then the water is switched off
When you leave your home, you set the circuit breaker to "Away". Then, if five drops of water leak somewhere (from a pipe or perhaps from the tap), the circuit breaker reacts immediately and shuts off all water in the house.
If you have purchased the app, you will also receive a message on your mobile phone telling you that something is wrong. It doesn't matter if you are on the other side of the world - you can control everything from your mobile phone, iPad or computer. All you need is an internet connection.
Protecting the house when you are at home
The water circuit breaker also provides protection when you are at home! Maybe you already have a leak in a pipe connection somewhere that you don't even know about? Long-term water leaks often cause problems with mould and poor indoor air quality. The second you install the water leakage switch, you will be notified of even the smallest leak in the house.
When you are at home, you can of course use the water as usual. With a single press of a button, you set yourself as "Home" and then choose how long the water can run before you want the circuit breaker to react. We have chosen twenty minutes because we never shower longer than that.
No water damage
Having worked in the construction industry for 25 years, Peter has seen countless instances of water damage - and what it causes. Misery! There are only two things that can really destroy a house: fire and water. Most people have smoke alarms and fire extinguishers in their homes, but who has the same protection against water?
We chose to become a reseller for this product because we are sure that this is a really good thing that can save a lot of people trouble and misery. We have received several offers to sell different things, but we have declined, because it's not up to par.
We've had the Leakomatic water leakage switch installed for a few months now, and it's a great feeling of security to know that the water will be turned off immediately if there is a leak somewhere.
Easy to buy and install
The module should be installed directly after the water meter and it should be done by a plumber, to be sure that everything is correct and to have all the guarantees. The water error switch (module and display) costs 8900 SEK incl. VAT, and it is of course exactly the same price if you buy through us or directly from the manufacturer. If you also want the app, it costs 1350 SEK incl. VAT or 270 SEK/year.

check out Peter's film
Peter has, of course, made a film. If you follow the blog, you know that he loves making films ... This time he has tied himself in knots. I thought it would be a serious and informative film, and informative it is, and it starts quite seriously, but then ... see for yourself!
Mr Steve says:
What an amazing thing. Peter's film, as usual, top notch.

Glad you like the film! And yes, this is really a smart thing when you live in a house (or houseboat ;)). Incredibly nice to know that the water is turned off immediately if something happens.

Haha! What a funny film - and yet very informative 🙂 .
Water damage is no fun. But I was reminded of my favourite April Fool's joke ever.
Stood in the bathroom in the basement and shouted up to Anders upstairs:
- The water just rises here in the bathroom!
Anders came running down the stairs and into the bathroom. It was dry as a bone. Anders said (very upset):
- Where is the water? WHERE???
I was a bit surprised. I thought he would get it right away. But I pointed underneath a cupboard where there was a drain, and said:
- It disappeared under the cupboard there.
Anders knelt down on the dry floor, and when he stood there with his head basically under the cabinet, I said:
- April, April!
Anders sat down on the floor, exhaled and sort of grabbed his heart...
HAHA! I thought it was super fun! Anders did NOT think so... 😀.
Have a nice Sunday!

Haha, help, what a terrible April Fool's joke... but it obviously worked! Water damage is NOT funny (but April Fool's jokes can be ;)).

But how practical! I usually worry (a little) about the house burning down when we are travelling. I have not actually thought about worrying about water damage (but can always start now, hehe).

Helena says:
Haha, yes ... actually I think the risk of water damage is greater than the risk of a fire when you are away. There is always water pressure in the pipes and something can break. The risk of something catching fire when you're away is perhaps not as great, really.

Perfect to have in the house it seems! 🙂
Funny film you have made 🙂

It is really a security to have this installed! And haha, yes Peter had fun when he recorded the film, I think 😉.

Hahaha! What a great film idea! Superbly filmed and even I understand;-) In addition, I thought that Peter's intelligence look is great. I mean, if Peter would ever want to become "serious" again, glasses fit perfectly to reinforce that impression;-)
As I said - a great presentation of Leakomatic and congratulations to the ÅF service!!!
PS. Can think that the name is quite funny too, a little misleading perhaps leak = leak thus "leak automatically" or "automatic leak" 😉 DS.

The film was really great! And easy to understand. Now we don't need a similar gadget, but for those who do, this is certainly a good thing. And if you live in a houseboat, I probably wouldn't want to live without it. Probably good for many with their own houses too.
Also thought a bit like BP regarding the name of the product.

As usual, a great film by Peter and certainly a great product.

Truly a great thing. Water damage is no joke and causes lots of problems.
The film, well what do you say, the serious and the happy. Well done, quite simply!
